I, who am premeditated, do not understand these things, forgive me. Maybe I'm just a poor naive fool, who still believes in the love for music. But what nostalgia for the '80s are you talking about? "Automatic for the People" is from the '90s. "New Adventures..." came after that. "Up" nearly closed the decade and remains one of the deep grooves in my heart.

Here you go, still here :) Francis, but you still haven’t told me why I would be fashionable now (wow, I feel so cool). No Italian newspaper has panned the album: even Guglielmi from Mucchio Selvaggio (one of the harshest and most straightforward critics) gave it a passing grade. In England, NME praised it excessively, and so did all the other trendy magazines. But no one – I mean no one – has ever explained the reason to me. Is it because R.e.m. – back then – signed a monstrous contract with THAT major label and now it’s in their interest to buy them off, the media? (ah, the pebble...).
