It hasn't been crushed, quite the opposite. I haven't read any enthusiastic reviews, but for that, the record label's money is needed first. This is a lovely piece of refined artisanal pop. Nothing that will knock you off your chair, but something essential at certain moments. Oh! And the NME liked it too, didn't they! That's saying something!
