"Anyone who disagrees... feel free to send an email" and so on. I also take this opportunity to complete the ranking of the best bands on the planet: 1> Radiohead; 2> Yes; 3> Peppino di Capri.

Of course (to avoid any misunderstandings), if we wanted to avoid any classification of gender, we could easily transform the sentence into "the Radiohead are currently the best band on the planet." This would allow us to dodge the thousands of plastic bands that, on the contrary, have greater monetary and image success, regardless of genres. Those who don’t can also send a private message to G_a', and will be banned.

I allow myself to express my opinion, as I believe I am an obsessive fanatic of Radiohead. Pablo Honey isn't a great album nor a terrible one: it’s an immature album, that’s for sure, without any personality but with good ideas. In light of Radiohead's growth, when I listen to it, I can only smile with tenderness. Currently (the year of our Lord 2007), it is undeniable that Radiohead is the most important band in alternative music (what this definition means, I have no idea, but I wouldn't know how else to define it; suggestions are welcome). Radiohead is the band that has influenced the most since the late '90s and (especially) the beginning of the new millennium (post-Kid A). This is undeniable, regardless of the narrow-minded stances taken by many, who continue to approach modern music with an inexplicable air of superiority. As for Pearl Jam, they too have inspired many bands of the '90s, but unlike Radiohead, they haven’t invented anything nor embarked on a reinvention of themselves over the years. They remain a great band with some fantastic records of solid rock & roll (Vitalogy above all). If we want to hold a contest on who knows more about Radiohead, step forward; if you want to have a burping contest, step forward as well.

Now that you've made me think about it, I'm afraid that "Naked Lunch" is probably superior to "Spider" for me as well: it's probably just because the latter is from a decade later. Anyway, I affirm the goodness and greatness of these three directors as far as I'm concerned: Cronenberg, Ferrara, Lynch, closely followed by Alan Parker. I was thinking of doing "Naked Lunch" myself; if anyone has something to say, speak now, or you will be banned forever...

David Cronenberg is one of my three favorite directors of all time (the others being Abel Ferrara and David Lynch). The Fly is a great film, even though the more "highbrow" Cronenberg would come later. Anyway, now that I've said all these things that no one cares about, I'll also mention that my favorite remains Spider, the film that made me love Ralph Fiennes.

Do you also get the impression (like I do) that with the arrival of the films, Vic Sorriso seems like a human being capable of even attracting sympathy? The power of art.
