Low The Great Destroyer

David Pajo was at number 5 right before "Drums and Guns" came out :( Now he's at 6. It's a ranking that exactly mirrors the rules used for the ranking of human cases.

It’s official: Low have become one of my (let’s say 5, okay) favorite bands. The new album, which I awaited with what I can only describe as feverish impatience, titled "Drums and Guns", is even better than "The Great Destroyer", which, by the way, I still enjoy listening to with orgasmic pleasure even after all these years. A beautiful album that pushes even further and I’m sure it will last a long time. Make it yours! What a delightful and magnificent group, Low. Definitely one to include in the list of life’s pleasures.
Idlewild Make Another World

What a fantastic concert last night, and the performance by the "Now It's Overhead" was great too, with a very charismatic frontman. The set from Idlewild was kind of a best of. Among the three bands whose albums I was waiting for in the early months of 2007 (the others being Electric Six and The Cooper Temple Clause), Idlewild are the only ones that didn't let me down. I've seen Electric Six and Idlewild live; the first show was muscular and flashy, but the second was truly mind-blowing, solid, and brilliant. We'll see about The Cooper Temple Clause on April 5, but at least live, all these bands are a joy to experience.
P.S.: The date in Wovehampton, a medieval town in the English Midwest, hosted almost 1000 people for Idlewild, a crush of bodies. Idlewild now represent for the UK what R.E.M. have represented for the USA—little brothers to them, it’s true, much smaller, just as England is musically smaller compared to the USA (though both are giants). Idlewild put it all together in the best song, "American English," which in any world but this would be a monstrous hit. "Are you bored with this song?" "No!!!" "Strange, usually everyone gets bored. Everyone except in Wovehampton, apparently. Are you all from here? Ah, you’re from Birmingham!" "Italy!" (second row for me) "Italy? And you weren't bored with this song? Must be Wovehampton, if I only knew where it is!" If I can figure out how to save a video online (maybe on YouTube), I’ll download the footage ;) By the way, I first heard the song when I was much older than the kids surrounding me, and in the pogo frenzy, I had to be careful not to step on anyone. :) Additionally, while waiting for the only bus at 6 in the morning, I couldn't find a single nightclub to get high and pass the time; there were only rock venues, bands everywhere—just a few days ago, even Nine Inch Nails came to play, and I got high listening to Cradle of Filth! Does my comment fit well on this page? I think so. ;)

sobno agrees with puntinicazpuntini! I've seen the movie about ten times, in French with English subtitles, in French with Italian subtitles, in French without subtitles and without understanding a damn thing, in Italian without subtitles... with French people, with Arabs, with Italians, with Cambodians naturalized as English... in short: such a too-too film! And the anecdote about kosmogabry, which I didn't know... :)

yes it's true, but the sequel to that movie, "The Devil Rejects," kicks ass!

The character of the grandfather is simply genius. When the grandson walks up the stairs to fetch him, it feels like a knife gets stuck in your throat. And when they bring him down to the living room and the son insists that he should be the one to kill the girl, "I'm not a killer... The grandfather! The grandfather! Let's have the grandfather do it!" Then comes the scene I've already mentioned, which is fantastic; it makes you laugh and tremble at the same time. In short, great film! :)

You said something beautiful, pretazzo. It should be seen just for Lewis's appearance, an incredible actor.
