Jovanotti L'albero

I printed both the ugly and the beautiful one. I've been studying them all afternoon to provide a considered opinion, comparing them line by line, concept by concept, word by word, well... what can I say? What can I say? The Beautiful is prettier than the Ugly. There's no doubt about it. But in my opinion, this time, the Ugly didn't pale in comparison to the Beautiful. On the contrary. I found the Ugly quite likable.
Nina Simone The Ultimate Nina Simone
Voto:
Yes. Nina Simone is a greatly forgotten artist (clearly here...). Actually, a tremendous one. But I agree with What I; your review is charming, with original hints, colorful nuances, beautiful phrases, jests and quips, but... I don't know... I’m going to grab a coffee too.
The Housemartins Now That's What I Call Quite Good

I know them, how could I not (ah! the '80s)? I might not consider them very indie (if not for not having a major), but rather good and proper pop. They were strong, but, for me, they weren't the top. They created remarkable songs. But they never made the decisive leap to surpass the fleeting popularity of that time. For me, the record is worth about 3.80. But I'll round it up. Thank you Born for these typical discoveries from someone who lived those years.

I'm sorry again, today I don't know what's happening to me. I wouldn't want to pull a "carrambata" but... is your "mami" in here too, the one who gifted you with a nice grade? Ehhhhh but that's not fair! Papiiiiiiiiii..................

I'm sorry, but since there are a lot of reviews floating around here of all kinds (macho, metal, brutal, engaged, sweet & delicate, syrupy, encyclopedic, historical, anti & counter, young, vulgar, etc.), I really liked this one of yours, Devon, especially because it’s a "bad copy" (ah! how nice, you make me go back to school..., the k to seem younger...) and I would place it right in the "naif" category. It’s a genre like any other. And you, I believe, are one of its greatest exponents. Jovanotti... well... he’s an artist who "floats." I mean, I listen to him on the radio when I don’t know where it is (for example, at my trusted barber or in the supermarket). But a whole album, oh my! The only thing I remember from this album (for reasons better left unlisted) is "quessstaè la mia casa, la casa dov'è?". Oh my, how tedious! Sorry for the outburst, and don't mind the criticisms. Do like famous writers or directors: they create their works and, snobbishly, they don’t really go read the reviews in newspapers...

Well done TrellH, what a beautiful comeback!
Rino Gaetano Aida
Voto:
Rino Gaetano, it's true, musically he wasn't exceptional. But he wrote songs of tremendous power, in my view. Songs that, if you listen to them today, unfortunately reveal all the flaws of the little Italy we live in. He had a bitter sense of humor. And despite the music often being cheerful, the lyrics were sour and corrosive. Every time I listen to his songs again, I'm sad that he left us so soon. Today he would have had so much material to write...
