I arrive a bit late... because I wanted to listen to it, and here it is. One of the most beautiful albums of 2007 (for me, a bit of an Americanophile). But it doesn’t quite reach a full 5 for the reasons mentioned by the reviewer. Anyway, I believe "the niche" is about to end since the album debuted in the top five of Billboard...

I join late... but this is a stunning review for an absolute masterpiece of an album that everyone should have without any excuse, just to be clear. Exciting Donjunio!!

Bruce Springsteen Nebraska

I am one of those who listen to this record when they are sad, or rather, when they are in a melancholic/lead-colored mood. These harsh but so romantic stories are cathartic in a sense; after listening to them, you feel better. "Nebraska" is beautiful, followed closely by the magnificent "Atlantic City" and "Johnny 99." For me, it's on par with the best records by Neil Young and among Springsteen's top five.

Good job, Carmine. Absolutely spot-on review of the album. In this genre, I prefer Nebraska—more stripped-down, more harsh, more romantic.
