Valerio, I'm undecided whether to laugh or not. I don't laugh. In the US (not "America," be precise if you want to be taken a bit seriously, considering that Peru, Mexico, Brazil, and the like suffer from hunger and count as a mere footnote in the world), it's true that lobbies carry a lot of weight. But between those who command and those who are commanded, there's a big difference. And if Americans are trendy... what would we be? Okay, but apart from contesting you phrase by phrase, the only thing that strikes me negatively in your para-aristosnob reasoning is the judgment of democratically elected presidents alongside that little Italian dictator, almost as if wanting to justify and glorify him. Can you imagine... but what does it matter if a dictator comes from humble origins???? Would you insinuate that killing, torturing, and ghettoizing is almost justifiable if it's carried out by a country schoolteacher? And what the hell was "the Roman esoteric idea that had its own strength"??? What strength did it have??? It was a gigantic nonsense! So in my opinion, besides many other things, you also seem to lack the basic principles of modern living (not that modern, considering democracy was theorized and practiced more than two thousand years ago in Greece). STUDY!

Valè... VALEEEEEE''''''!!!!!!!
You’re right about one thing: I have a "dog-like sensitivity."
As for the rest, I've been hearing nonsense like yours for years...
And your black-and-white view of everything is the litmus test that makes me fully understand your human (and chronological) maturity. I truly hope you are experiencing that adolescent phase full of passions and absolute principles. Or maybe you’re just playfully messing with us a bit. Because if that’s not the case, like if you were thirty years old believing what you write here, then that would be more concerning. In short, you still have to evolve a bit... :-)
One thing: from your Observatory of Truths, do you think Italians are better than "amerecani"?
Do you find, for example, that in the disgusting history of America there was a Mussolini?

RivoliValerio, my friend, you know, once upon a time there was (a great) puntinicazpuntini in your place. He had (what was it?) a pretty tough head, or rather, let's say, one made of marble. But damn it, he understood something about music (not when he talked about Bruce, of course...). Instead, you hit me with little phrases that sound a bit like puppy dog nonsense, scooped up by the handful from a stereotypical and somewhat rough underground collective memory, devoid of any critical sense, flowing out like from a steaming centrifuge (weed) of a post-'68er in 2007 (with this respecting the '68ers but despising the little emulators), with neither beginning nor end: something like, "on the exegesis of Bruce's sources, theses have been written in amereca, you know? The Reaganian superheroic turning point happened from Born in the USA onwards... I might be getting a bit fed up if they keep bombarding me with the American myths of highway 61, of Kerouac, of Dylan, of Springsteen, of Hollywood, of irritating the entire world§???"
And that means? The Reaganian turning point from Born in the USA ?????????
I’ll just tell you this: once, many years ago, (who knows if you already existed..), President Reagan, in the midst of the roaring '80s, listening to Born in the USA, asked Springsteen if he could use it for his campaign... Springsteen responded, during a concert, that clearly, the President hadn’t understood a goddamn thing. The song was about Vietnam veterans.
By the way, I'll tell you something else since you completely misunderstood the last bit: did you know that they took Bruce’s security detail away because he wrote a song against the US police who shot a poor immigrant who was just pulling out a wallet at the traffic stop??
Moreover, for "amereca": did you know it can be divided into: inhabitants, Bush administration, farmers from Iowa, Republicans from Texas, Manhattan employees, wealthy fat ladies, various misfortunes, marginalized Indians... I wonder if you notice small differences?
P.S.: But who’s trying to impose American myths on you? You’re the one who chooses! Get your ass off American records, right? And one final piece of advice: read.
P.S.2: I’m lowering the score for Springsteen’s album.. unfortunately.

I miss a concrete from Pearl Jam. I've always wondered how much strength a band with global success must have to try, at least attempt, to remain human...
