Amon Amarth Sorrow Throughout The Nine Worlds (EP)

The title track is perhaps their absolute best song. To the top with the horns!

More than anything, if only the symphonic parts were done well...

A disappointment... not a masterpiece but at least a fun album... so far I've loved them, or at worst appreciated them, but here they try to imitate Rhapsody with very little success (let's face it, the Triestines are better at symphonic music). There isn't even a riff or almost, some songs are cringe-worthy because they're so bad (Loki in particular)... there are some nice things, but nothing changes the fact that this is a tacky, pompous, redundant, flat, and predictable album. Manowar are really at the end... I hope to change my mind, but at the moment this is how I feel about this last effort.

Phenomenal DVD...the "review" kind of sucks, but maybe it’s just me who doesn’t understand "modern art" :P

it's a bit ugly, in fact, but I’d say that with all the fuss going on (Halloween too long? O.O) it doesn’t matter :D

Great album, a milestone of Power Metal.
And, I reiterate, they should make albums like this today...

I'm not really in agreement about the cover; this is one of the best of the AA ;) please, no dragons O.O

one of the best releases of 2006, read carefully ;) anyway for now it’s among my favorites; Once Sent, although much less varied, is obviously still better :)

What can I say, this was the first album by Amon that I bought; having listened to their discography, I realize that this WOOOS is much more accessible than the previous ones, with straightforward and rather melodic songs that don't take many risks; however, even with their whole discography behind me, I can't help but say that this is one of the best releases of 2006; I love the atmosphere that pervades the songs, a certain epicness mixed with violent lyrics, great riffs, and a phenomenal Hegg on vocals, who alternates between screaming and growling in an absolutely admirable way; Excellent album, much more varied than others, by the way, great alternation of mid-paced tracks with fast ones; the only track that perhaps didn't convince me is "Under The Northern Star," original for them, of course, but not very effective; for the rest, I don't feel like dismissing anything, great record, really.
