System Of A Down Hypnotize
Voto:
I appreciated System of a Down a few years ago and I still appreciate them, but I appreciate them as "commercial" bands. I don't mean to use the term in an offensive way, but it's still true that we're talking about a band that's a step below what you can find in the metal scene outside of MTV... Anyway, they created a sound all their own and, above all, they brought a lot of people to metal (this isn’t bullshit; many people I know later moved on to thrash and then to death...) and they belong to that group of bands (like the early Linkin Park) that were original and inspired many others. In conclusion, I still have to hear Hypnotize, but I found Mesmerize nice, so I think this album will be catchy, a bit for metal parties where you get drunk and a bit for when you're driving and can’t listen to Slayer because you have a headache from 35 hours of work in a row... :D

PuntiniCAZpuntini, explain to me for a moment when I called you into question? I didn't mention your name, and personally, I want nothing to do with you. Rest assured that I don't express comments like a newcomer, considering I didn't just register yesterday. If you want, I can explain the reason behind my phrases: "I'm not going to comb through every review of the Dream," easycure appears in all the ones I've seen, since when I registered I started reading all the reviews of the bands I like, simply to know what others think. I have read the reviews of easycure just like I have of many others, to get an idea and to make comparisons. For me, easycure doesn't like metal or a large part of current music; they listen to completely different music and shouldn’t comment so negatively on the Dream just because there are a lot of kids following them (this is true for almost all of them). The fact that easycure reviews bands as if they were machines pushes me to suggest that they start listening to music with a different ear. Dream Theater are neither the most innovative nor the most original band, but they give me something that innovative and original bands forget. But in fact, it's better if I mind my own business, otherwise the 15-year-old defender gets involved... Finally, I add that after so much crap thrown at the Dream, easycure doesn’t bother me at all, but a single post of yours is enough to grant you a rightful place in my Olympus of the most useless. Be proud of it; you're few in number!
P.S.: Do you really find it funny that people come in, read two lines, and have "already formed an idea"? What makes me laugh is your Italian...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA easycure, I'm only now responding to your comment from who knows how long ago, because unlike you, I don't constantly sift through reviews of Dream. Unlike you, I listen to a lot of music, ranging from Death Metal to Fusion, but I don't get into long and inconclusive debates, fighting against the world! However, you're right; in the end, I should start doing like you, envying the bands that are more successful because the others I listen to aren't! I avoid shitting on everything and everyone... You listen to a different genre; you're not even a Metal lover... you brag so much about names that most people will never encounter in their life! I don't defend Dream Theater because I'm narrow-minded, but simply because their idea of music perfectly aligns with mine, as do many other bands. I never said they're the best and that no one else can challenge them; I will never say that. However, I assure you that what I saw in Rome on Monday, October 31, 2005, is not a performance that many bands can deliver... Anyway, if you stopped reviewing bands as if they were machines and tried to listen to the music from an emotional perspective, I'm not saying you would appreciate Dream (Because let's be clear, tastes are tastes), but maybe you would be able to appreciate many more genres and bands...

This, however, says a lot about the fact that System of a Down are a Metal band that plays on MTV and that they make catchy songs that attract the posers... Personally, I find them good, but, for heaven's sake, true metal is another level, and you all know it.

I hope the entire review is meant to be ironic... I mean, seriously, this is just pathetic! I mean, a channel dedicated to music, awards that go to music, and someone is reviewing the chicks (And the System of a Down on Domenica In???)?
Anyway, I know you’re joking, come on! Congratulations, you made me laugh four times! :D

Hahahahahahah, are you still commenting on this? Terrible, it’s not getting anywhere... at most, if you want to mock Easycure, go to his reviews, see what he wrote and really give it to him! Bye... MUHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH
Dream Theater Octavarium

Lordsandreik, I listen to about 50 bands and for me too, Octavarium is a great album... If a user like you wants to share their opinion on this album, they are free to do so! Anyway, comments are meant to discuss the album and not what others say.
