To the foggy Ugo. I only have American Music Club, a vinyl I listen to rarely. I never quite liked Germano, so I never listened to her seriously. And right now, I can't think of anything about the "intimate singer-songwriter." But a memorable album, and of course quite old, is Music for a New Society by John Cale, which isn’t exactly an intimate singer-songwriter and probably doesn’t fit at all, but in that album, with its ridiculously pretentious title, is great. And I feel like recommending it to you anyway, even though an imprudent loan to a young lady means that, having lost the lady, I lost the record, and I haven’t listened to it for quite a while. If I manage to put my neurons together, we'll meet here again in a few days and maybe I'll point out some titles that I like, in the style you enjoy. (Ah, did Gadda really say that? Ah, no, I don’t have the courage to face Him...)

Dear Ugo, "the classics are those who occupy the chairs first" doesn’t strike me as a great image, whoever it may be attributed to. It's true that, if what you say about Kozelek is accurate (and I don’t doubt it; this isn’t a dispute), time will make room for him too, on one of the chairs that will have either been freed up or added in the meantime. You know what? There’s no need to establish primacy. Each person, in their own way, leaves their work at the mercy of time. And I told you, I’m not a champion of young Drake. I wasn’t joking when I thanked you for the titles you suggested; I find DeBaser useful for this type of conversation as well. Also, (the) Smog isn’t (are) bad, I know the early works, but not the latest productions. In this case too, suggestions are welcome. Bye.
P.S. A curiosity: why are you so grayish?

No, Starfish, I haven't seen it. That one seems invisible to me.
Well, I can do the priest if you want. Even though I prefer old Gino.
Now let's disappear for a while, okay? Let's make room for the invisible, which is restless. Bai

Mhhh... What are you up to, K? You've already done Jazzmatazz! And you pin me to the Last Poets! Look, I'm sure that if I do one, I won't start with that... if in the meantime no one takes care of it, sooner or later I will do it. Okay? Nice move of yours, anyway.

Mc Sampyr, if you believe that "hip hop is a hybrid of music and poetry," I would like to suggest that you spend a little money and time on someone who had a similar idea about...35 years ago. For example, the Last Poets: "THE LAST POETS" (1970) "THIS IS MADNESS" (1971) Best regards.

Ringo, I'm not good at reviewing. Sooner or later I’ll give it a try, but I fear I’ll have to dig deep into the past, because I discover new things thanks to DeBaser and the occasional rare foray elsewhere. You know, in my lair there’s not much space for too many things and I'm always regrettably short of cash. Hal, unfortunately the situation is the same: I only have a few hundred titles (between vinyl and CDs) of jazz, and so finds like the one you mentioned end up somewhere in the middle of my shopping list, behind a few dozen records that I’m still missing... However, Coltrane and Monk live... Thank you.

Ringo, we didn't say it because it's pitiful and frankly fruitless to try to engage in dialogue with little people who use a space like this to pour out all kinds of shortcomings. I too am frankly disgusted and disappointed by the fact that every time a "free" space like this is granted, the behavior of many, too many (ill-equipped to consider freedom first and foremost as respect) leads to the desire for some form of "restriction." The only possible alternative remains: good reviews, written to the best of one's ability, of records that someone else, passing through here, will have the chance to discover or remember...

Scott, so young and so determined! Your ranking in the chart is impressive, and I'm sure that, as you say, there are really many more missing. Just a small note, if you'll allow me. It's not that if someone listens or perceives in a different way from yours, they did it "superficially." Maybe, and more likely, perspectives and interpretations come from "completely different reasons." Bye.

I really like the stone in the pond, Ugo, all those circles expanding on the surface... I would just take into account the temporal factor, the context in which things originate, the resistance to wear that somehow helps to "understand" the substance of which things are made. I didn't know about the cult for Drake; I've been attached for too long, but I also have some reservations about some of his work... Thank you for the insights on your preferences. I will listen to or re-listen to the titles you mentioned.

For Doo-Bop, I would see Hal well, even though probably, reading between the lines, he's not the Davis he prefers... Like me, after all. (I'm listening to Relaxin'.... wow!!!) But your "modesty" seems excessive to me! Why not you? Come on, I’m waiting for you.
