I recall a concert where he was "escorted backstage" twice, attempting to continue until, on the third try, they had to drag him away and the guitarist sang all the songs with precision. They ended up being pale, harmless shadows of those we knew from his drawn-out, slurring voice.
And then his surreal, heart-wrenching duet for the most improbable cover in the video with Nick Cave. But is he still alive?

But are they from ENEMY OF THE SUN? I don’t remember anything anymore... and they made an album with Jarboe? Well, look at those nice mixes.

Damn, Hal! Just noticed now: Lanois and Mehldau (not bad for a supporting act!). If you keep this up, you'll complicate the list... and its order.

Oh no, Socrates. You're broadening the scope. You're adding half a calf at a time to this grill! Just kidding, of course. It wasn't an oversight; we were focused on Los Angeles. I haven't even read six chapters. Is it up to the level of American Tabloid?
The Jimi Hendrix Experience Are you experienced?

Even you, dear VoodooChild, start from the bottom, I see. Like others, I imagine young and daring. Albums among many, not particularly significant. Nothing too demanding, in short... Good luck. Your self-vote is charming, though.
