Socrates, I see that the chat at the end of S.Wonder is bearing excellent fruit. I haven't read that of Pugliamix, maybe I will. I would have very much enjoyed reading your take on the Segno. Hi!

Pacino, found. Great stamp, very distinct personality, extremely precise setup.
It wasn't love, but he's a very welcome guest. He needs more listens, at more suitable moments, 'because certain interpretations shine with nuances. C U

ptr, I didn't want to insist, but you bring me into this. Neither difficult nor pretentious. It's a matter of principles. Here and everywhere. I'm not asking you to share them. Do I have the right to express them? Without falling into the category of the frustrated, because if there's anyone who can rightly be there, it's those who don’t even do things, who only criticize or copy them. As far as I'm concerned, in my time, quite a while ago, alas, I refused to be a reviewer, which would have been the dream of many but certainly not mine. And I couldn’t care less if the alleged para-professionalism is required or not. You take things as you please, I always try to do something well and honestly if I do it. The reasons why I didn’t like it were quite different. Leave it there? If you hadn’t called me into question, I would have already closed it. Regards

For Francesco: would you prefer sodomy on a corpse? Did I perhaps say something incorrect or inaccurate? Is it true or not that I recently praised your choices? Can I invite you to read the few things I've written about DeB, just because I thought it was worth sharing the pleasure of listening with others? Well, there isn't a word that isn't mine, and surely if I read them again I would modify some things, because I'm never fully satisfied and someone out there will have written or will write better pages on the same subject. As far as I'm concerned, and especially after this response, there’s no risk: nobody fucks you, neither alive nor dead.
For ptr: I still don't understand. Even if it were just a line, even if it were in an even more "amateurish" place, actually, even more so, in that case, it doesn't change a thing. If you have nothing to say about a record, keep quiet. If you think you have something, make an effort and find your way to express it. What does money have to do with it? We're talking about something else, about respect for others, not just for those who have written what you then sign in your own name (which is no small thing). But also for those who will read you, for those who, perhaps equipped with modest means, are trying, ONLY WITH THOSE, to express themselves and perhaps encounter harsh criticisms, sometimes truly ruthless, and those are exaggerated, from the same people who are here saying "what do I care if they copied."
Who gives a fuck about copyright. That’s not the only issue. I don't need a law to distinguish the worthy from the unworthy. I don't need to resize anything. I know perfectly well where I am. I hope I've made myself clear, because I have no intention of returning to the subject. Regards.

I have always admired Francesco's choice of titles, a certain discreet mastery of words, noting multiple times gaps in information that I have, in one case or two, miserably tried to fill in my posts. I had some doubts in the latest one about my beloved Mouse on Mars. I didn't want to verify. Now that the matter has been revealed, I add my disappointment (directly proportional to the attention I paid to it) to that of zzzzzzzzzz, whom I greet in passing.

As much as it might mean less than nothing, I feel like sharing that I'm simply happy to read a dialogue between Enk and Nick.
Charlie Haden & Egberto Gismonti In Montreal

Sure, you presented yourself well with the three choices you propose. Gismonti is not, to my ears, a Pelè of the piano. This certainly hasn't prevented him from producing excellent albums. I would add that, having a strong fondness for many of Haden's albums, in different eras and with different companions, I wouldn’t be so dogmatic in attributing him the scepter. Of course, the recent albums, that one with Metheny and Nightfall with John Taylor, demonstrate that he is in splendid form. This album you are reviewing is not among my favorites, although it remains a fine record. I renew my appreciation for the selections.

Yes, Pacino. But I also think of certain albums with songs, the beat that stays bouncing in your head, maybe just a chorus, just that one, that I hum in the shower, the rest is sound, rhythm, intertwining melodies, play. I'm going grocery shopping - I'm lost in the supermarket, la lalala la lala....
