Johann Sebastian Bach - Mischa Maisky Suites Per Violoncello 1-6

I confess I didn't expect to find such widespread consensus, given the very "personal" nature of the affair and the culpable absence of a true description of a work of such importance. At the same time, I imagined that the narration of such a casual and fortunate encounter could resonate with many who approach music with the spirit of those willing to be consumed rather than consume it. I'm also somewhat of a connoisseur of coincidences, and when Hal wrote his beautiful review of the Schubert album performed by Maisky, I "had to" write this. Thank you to everyone and each of you.

Grass is one of those I've missed, having given up on Guccini many years ago, being a listener since the beginning. Of course, your review convinces me to reconsider. As for EGE: for what it's worth, I believe that Radici is absolutely the perfect starting point, considering that it has an atmosphere you will find rarely afterward, and a sort of "innocence" that still convinces me today.

From Taranto? I thought you were from Salerno, I wonder why. I agree with the final remarks, and I appreciate some very beautiful moments in your text. ZiOn, you need to read all of Ege, he's fishing every little thing from those years...

I've got it. I've got it, on vinyl. I didn't give it away and I didn't lend it to anyone who then kept it. You really fish them all out! Thinking about it almost makes me feel nostalgic, and I give it a 4 that it might not deserve, but that takes into account the uniqueness, or almost, of that approach back then. Ege, when you're not "sluggish," you're a guarantee. I mean, almost always.

Hey, kid, you're overdoing it. Luckily, the things you write stay there, and testify to your pathetic presence. But now don't insist, you can't do it. It's obvious. For me, this time, you’re truly gone, forgotten.
To JohnOfPatmos: no, instead I have to apologize again. I wasn't defending any inner feelings, just decency. But it’s a waste of time. Bye.

I don't have this record either. I might actually prefer his earlier repertoire, which I have on vinyl. What is this one about? Is there no tracklist?

gizmo1900, you had to wait for the arrival of Ege, unfortunately still a child at the time. You seem a little more "mature," it appears. I was luckier: I didn't get my hopes up and didn't buy it. Hearing it, I have never regretted the decision.

I also liked the old works much more than the later ones. The one before, I can't remember the title, (Superwhatever to the max, I think) more than this one. I also think there was a "punk" attitude, but damn, our opinions on punk are so opposite that it would be impossible to understand each other...

Testaverde, did you cross over? Beautiful this too, I don't fancy them, it's a matter of taste.

Marcel, I like it. One of the many CDs I would have wanted to listen to, but never could.
