Beautiful page. I've never been to the Grand Canyon. But... - I took the record, and I like it.

I won't share many of your musical tastes (maybe we'll overlap more on jazz), but the depth and refinement of your proposals are undeniable. Less "retrospective" than your latest ones, more densely packed with references to addictive substances, much appreciated. And who knows, maybe one day I'll find myself looking for this Fu Manchu record :)

Well, Open mind, I'm not quite sure what to tell you: I remember you like Labradford (I listened to Mi Media Naraja a few days ago, your rec is nice) and Friends Of Dean Martinez. I really like them too. But apart from inviting you to get an idea from the samples, I should know if you also appreciate simple songs, in the style of "blues folk soul" and with a pretty intimate tone... - @ ZiOn: I just stuck to the usual samples, come on - Well... he says he’s been playing guitar obsessively since he was a kid, that he adores J. Mitchell, J.L. Hooker, J. Martin... That he likes the harmonies of India Arie: it seems to me like the album of someone who also has this kind of approach to music, this taste for listening. And he knows how to express it well. In short, he probably also needs to change the atmosphere, between one beat and another.. :)

It's true, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, Hindi Zahra could. And wandering around in there, you come across curious encounters. Beautifully straight. And a good color change of things:)

Well, not even a comment for an album by this band. It's strange, and it's a shame. Because probably many DeBaser users, especially the younger ones, who don't know them could have a lovely surprise by approaching their work. A remarkable taste for pop songs and a unique personality. This album, let's say transitional, is not among my favorites. I recommend the second one, "Drums and Wires," fresh, energetic, and featuring a fantastic hit (I loved it to bits) "Making Plans for Nigel," and the splendid "Skylarking," reviewed in its own way by Socrates.

@ PaMeLIO: Thanks, I’ll give it a try. I hope I succeeded - @ Mauri: well, yes, with the samples you can get an idea of the sounds and the mood of the album. Of course, it’s always about fragments. In fact, in this case, one of the qualities is precisely the way the album "flows", so... - @ zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz: gironzzzzzzzzzzolando who did you meet?
