Jolie Holland Springtime Can Kill You

Hello, Amalteo. I don’t find many affinities, apart from a mood that might seem common. Jones seems more focused on a formal “cleanliness” and immediacy, on a melodic line that “captures” attention. But I must insist: if you haven’t already, read the review by zzzzzzzzzzzz on Holland’s old album and enjoy that beautiful surreal little picture. @NickGhostDrake: Mr. Nick, I know you are familiar with Mr. mp, author of many editorials. Could you be so kind as to pass along my sincere compliments to him? Apart from today’s (which are strictly logical), I have often appreciated his words and the way, sometimes incomprehensible and mysterious, that allows them to stand and function perfectly, even running. Against all predictions and reasonableness. Thank you in advance.

Nice the greengrocer. And curious Froese who makes Rhythm & Blues and Rock 'n Roll. But how does the lyric of the song by 'The Ones' relate to the title of this album and to the name of that band, aside from the presence of the word tangerine? I don't know, this thing is making me curious, damn it...

Bah, I’m old enough for this to not be the first, but the last vinyl of the Ramones that I bought. They were a bunch of fucking hilarious idiots. Here they are a little less idiotic and, for me, a bit less funny, although it’s true, as Tollani says, that it was better than the immediately preceding stuff (for me, "Ramones," "Rocket T.R," and "Road T.R." are "The" Ramones). But we are in the realm, highly debatable, of the subjective. The same realm in which the excellent page by Lewis moves, which also talks, with an irony that avoids the pathetic, about all “our” Beppe. The rest (pointless controversies, series a, b, and c, rankings of greater or lesser punkness) paraphrasing one of my reference philosophers, Toni da Lavello, “is all stuff to shove up your ass.” Cheers and kisses.

DeB could "write it." After all, it’s about thinking of a sort of introduction, a careful selection of reviews, with an appendix of in-depth analyses and an effort for added sample material. And then a way to highlight everything. Think the same way for other "genres" - It would certainly be a huge task...

Josi, this, Ehlers, and Therese will travel together. I don't know a thing about the Postal Service, which I've seen praised even in DeB...

@ Wanderer: You are too kind, cummia - @ Josi 1: what have you smoked? - Josi 2: If you still have faith (and it’s not easy, given my times) Ehlers will come to you. @ Vi: I also renew the request I made to those who know him: do you have any of his other records? If so, could you share your thoughts with a review? @ Todos: Have a nice day

Hal, if I can be of help, for once... put a message in the box, put the box into your car, drive your car around the world (quote from a pop rock song: if you guess, a free CD).

Said between us, dear no one, I don’t read Donna Moderna. But I don't doubt your words. Maybe I’ll start reading it, would you recommend it? This is certainly not a review, but a DePagina. It’s not even an ad, though. What is it then? What it is seems quite understandable to those who want to understand it, but in the comments I reiterated the concept. It’s an "homage": that page spoke to me much more than many others. I have the impression that there is, fortunately, a certain difference between a place like this and the little music magazine where you find the reviews you want. Here, in this atypical space, there are often, besides the highly subjective impressions of the writer, links, comments, and sometimes a huge amount of samples. And then, since you know the album and seem to appreciate it, you actually have the opportunity to add your thoughts in the comments, along with any indications you deem appropriate. Why not take advantage of it? I’m quite curious to hear your opinion. Have a good day, whoever you are.

@ Massimof: it’s worth what I was telling PaMeLIO. Lightness and freshness are the stuff of Z - @ Pippo: Therese is here for you. Maybe.
