Hey, you two!!! Well... - Always warm, my little dark one. So, MEGAFUZZU, I’m going to grab this and listen to it while I carefully indulge in some homemade goodies, as long as in the meantime cat Mario hasn’t chewed up the prettiest leaves. Then we’ll meet in Detroit. And we’ll talk about it. - And be good, at least in public. You piece of

Raising myself for a moment from the work apnea, I took a look at the latest comments and then to the homepage: after the sad spectacle that we often witness, of moronic, vulgar, and offensive posts, this page is a true oasis. I don’t know the album, nor Dizzy's career finale. It seems splendid, from your description and the samples. On the other hand, the presence of names like Purim, Turre, Moreira, and Perez (these days I’m really enjoying the album reviewed by Symbad) in a context like the one described is an additional guarantee of richness in sounds and acoustic pleasures. Nice review, Grass. And another planned ā€œinvestment.ā€ - P.S. Unfortunately, it hasn’t survived the regeneration of slang, but an exclamation that was quite popular in my adolescence (and I like it for its raw attribution of value to instinctiveness) was Bestiale!!!

Hi, Grass. Because the review isn’t bad, and the album isn’t his best (the songs I prefer aren't here). You may have noticed that I avoid giving 5s to albums with the ease that is often seen in DeB. Consequently, a "minor" album from an author like Gaetano deserves a solid passing grade. Ratings are an extreme synthesis that, as in this case, can lead, through almost opposite paths, to the same "result." Have a good day, Grass (I'm diving back into the sea of work, today I'm holding my breath).

Beautiful question, Festwca. However, it presupposes an idea of "review" that perhaps isn't mine. I was saying, in response to Sfascia, that in the end these are more about notes, descriptions, impressions from listening. Especially with recent albums, which cannot be objectively processed properly. But this is always stated, and I don’t claim infallibility. The fact is that generally, the first listens are crucial for me. Of course, some records find their way of communicating with us over time. For others, I feel I can say (for example, about some old ones I've written about) that my way of "seeing" them, while changing due to my progressive disillusionment and a certain emotional detachment—a sort of understandable cooling down with the passage of time (which sometimes brings to light deficiencies that, over the years, in the enthusiasm, went unnoticed)—that essentially the first listens are not so far removed from today’s, even with over twenty years, perhaps, in between. However, I hope it is understood from the nature of my little pages that I try to make descriptions and impressions coexist, avoiding absolute judgments... I repeat, beautiful question, but it seems to me that it implies too "definitive" a function to the poor (and too many :))) words that I attempt to put together when talking about a record. Bai

Everything is philosophically impeccable. But what I really liked about Gattuso’s response was the immediacy of the rough and definitive answer: a humble yet firm downscaling of the usual media bluster. I also enjoyed the responses to the Spiegel article (did his wife cheat on him with an Italian, or was he beaten as a child by an Italian peer?) that were anything but diplomatic but never retracted. On the contrary, they were reaffirmed firmly, noting that that article (which, in addition to other "refined" analyses, labeled Italians as irredeemable good-for-nothings and parasites) had offended and insulted his father, who had worked his whole life like a mule for a million a month, along with millions of Italians. As for the proverbial Cul de Sac(chi) of that theory, your points are indisputable. But for us who enjoy it from the couch, the attempt to apply it is a source of pleasure. Even if at times it turns into a calvary of frantic minutes searching for an ugly random goal that flips the outcome of a match played excellently and compromised in the result... - I put on Beautiful Lie. Kaleidoscopicpop. At times, the tone of the voice reminds me of McCullogh...

P.S. Pretazzo, you really write fluidly and incisively, compliments. I endorse the appreciation of the Swiss pillar.

You know I don't have it? As a longtime admirer of Albini, from Atomizer to Shellac, back then I let it slip by in the rapist version. Seems I was wrong...

Yes, indeed it was from that album, which perhaps is not quite the penultimate... - Okay, I take the forecast while one hand is busy with the ritual superstitious touch. However, I didn't really like the excessive enthusiasm that followed wins against fairly modest opponents, even if it showed a certain team cohesion and room for improvement. I'm very curious to see what will be, I believe, a great challenge, after the predictable initial tactical caution. Certainly, sending them out of the World Cup on their home turf would be quite satisfying after the amusing article. - Ah, did you read Gattuso's response to the journalists who consider him the true symbol of the World Cup, instead of the invisible Ronaldinho? He says it's an insult to football because he runs and fights, but the things the Brazilian does, he dreams of at night... Well, sometimes I really like this guy.

It was precisely to that post of yours in another review that I was referring. I fully endorse the rest of the discussion, and also because of a love that was immediate and has never faded, I take away that "perhaps" for Cruyff. The rest you can tell to an admirer of Domenghini, and you know what I mean. I don't think we need to apologize: after all, the attitude resonates even in music and is somehow related—I love a lot of "minor" records, the notes corresponding to the great teamwork and concrete passion showcased, for example, by a Verona, Italian champions (in one of the rare years when referees were chosen by chance, what a coincidence...) - I don't know if I will write a few lines about it because so far I've listened to it little, but a title for which I wouldn't ask for a refund from you is "Beautiful Lie," the very recent album by Ed Harcourt (for the previous one, there’s a review by zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, as usual concise, lively, and conveying the idea). Pop with a thousand faces, quality songwriting, varied arrangements and moods. But now, can you give me a prediction, with scores, for the match against the Germans? :))

How: just politics and then you don't talk about anything else? I don't know... - @ ZiOn: this time you didn't post the usual note about the fact that hip hop is not a genre..:)
