Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan & Party Love Songs
Voto:
This is one of the most beautiful among the 5 (I believe) recordings for Real World: I prefer Devotional, but it's a close race. The page is lovely and the connection to Shi'a tradition is a historical fact. The concerts you mentioned were indeed endless, and the audience would throw money on stage as a sign of gratitude. Nusrat's voice is magnificent; this review fills a gap in a space populated by idolized icons, while voices like his have been absent thus far among the over 10,000 pages. I had started to write about another one of his albums, but I'm glad I found your excellent review. Just for having remembered it, you deserve a 5, and for having done so with care and respect, you truly deserve it. And for having spared us the hype and the ridiculous exaltations that seem to be doing so well on this site lately, a thank you as well. Bye.

Yes, a 4 is worth it all. Several excellent episodes, a very high average quality, some tribute paid to the colossal "dimension."

You'll like these, ZiOn. I've never been fully convinced by them, nor have they ever "grabbed" me, but this one is the best. Almost 4, go ahead.

Sure is dead (and, parodying W. Allen, I don't feel too good myself) Great is the disorder under heaven, the situation is therefore excellent. Someone else said more or less: "I still believe in God but God don't believe in me..." Feverish the page, disillusioned the listening. On the site you can appreciate the documentation provided: mp3s of all the tracks and lyrics and scores for each one. A very meticulous boy scout. Hi, JoP.

The title track that can be listened to on the website is indeed beautiful. And I really like the voice. I'm definitely looking for it. Bye, Vì.

Sylvian, I don't know this record and I don't have any Caravan albums. I've listened to them in a previous era, but they didn't intersect with my interests back then. I have vast gaps in my knowledge, what can I say...

Today seems to be a day of "however" :)

I don't know him, Sylvian. However, I do know the unlikely "nostalgia" for places and times that haven't been experienced. And I find it in your page. I’ll try to get a listen (at this pace, though, it’s almost become "work"...). Bye.

Oh, so I'm the one being pretentious? Pontificating on everything and everyone? And what are you talking about, darling? Refer to things that are concrete and visible to us mere mortals, if you can manage. If you can't, be careful with what you say, because I haven't expressed any judgments about you, nor about anyone else, as I'm used to comparing ideas. It's you who has made hasty judgments about others ("...I certainly don't take myself as seriously as many do here" - "...from your username, it's clear that you're someone who takes themselves very seriously, so there's not much to say to someone like you"). You, who just arrived, going around judging left and right, and get offended by low ratings and react in this way. What can I say? A full stop, or maybe just a comma, if you prefer. Anyway, I'll refrain from commenting on your reviews from now on. Best regards.
