Thinking about it (but I haven’t thought about it for a while, I’m done with him) what an abyssal distance between his films from back then and the pretentious, lengthy, painful flops of recent times...

And speaking of old glories like Fuller, I still remember with a certain emotion the vision of "Nick's Movie," does anyone remember it? In Italy, it was titled "Lampi Sull'Acqua" (1980, I believe) with and about Nicholas Ray....

Yes, exactly: in my second post there was a missing "not": I only remembered after posting the first one that the films were "Lo Stato Delle Cose." However, for the sake of its significance in his filmography and its meaning in relation to those years, I prefer this one.

How about it, Giorgio? Richard David James, aka Aphex Twin.... or am I mistaken?

In agreement with Boredom, except for the numerical judgment: at 3, all in all, we get there.

Seen in theaters when it came out, like all his films, until it was worth it. One line among all, from the dialogues: "Reality is in color, but black and white is more realistic" - The Wenders that I appreciated and, probably, loved.

A curious note: the young lady, in the past, before settling with the label of Sufjan Stevens for which she released this album, was a backing vocalist for Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston (!?) - Then, in addition to this, she also released an album the same year with a string quartet called "A Thousand Shark's Teeth," which I listened to and found worthy of attention. Another indication of her eclecticism is the release of a remix album - "Tear It Down" - featuring names like Alias, Lusine, Murcof... I’m curious to hear it. In the meantime, I’ll revisit this one...

The album isn't bad: when it came out, I played it a lot, only to then "forget" about it. Your page describes it quite well, with an enthusiasm I don’t fully share, and specifically about the vocals, I had some reservations in certain parts. I’ll have to listen to it again, after all, that's what DeBaser is for...

A much-anticipated comeback. Lewis, even by those who don't particularly favor the things you talk about. But every time he picked up the titles you recommended, he discovered or rediscovered great albums. Like this one, I suppose. Not to mention the pleasure of reading well-crafted and enjoyable pages.
