Yes, Bianconero: David Holmes included "Sugar Man" in the albums "Come Get It, I Got It" and "David Holmes Presents The Free Association." By the way, two great compilations, as often happens when Holmes gets involved, who should be considered something more than a "DJ"...

Hi, Know-it-all. In fact, it's "disorient/evole/ante". Not bad, right?

In 2009, a movie directed by Alfonso Cuaron will be released, based on "The History of Love." I look forward to reading your review of the book, Zeta.

Richard Yates Revolutionary Road

Beautiful review. Cleo, I suggest you read his stories, gathered in "Undici solitudini" 2006, Minimum Fax - I find them better than this novel, which nonetheless has its undeniable charm and showcases an author with a style that was new at the time, dry and effective, considering the times when it was published (1961) - Revolutionary Road was printed in 2003 by Minimun fax, and it's still available today; I don't think it's that difficult to find (by the way, in the Minimun fax edition there is an introduction by Richard Ford, a great American author - I recommend "Sportwriter" and "Il Giorno dell'Indipendenza") - I'm curious about Mendes' film...

Ah, well, I see you also enjoyed this incredibly underrated album. And the image of a "handsome mixed-breed" overshadowing the blond Beck is not at all far-fetched. I'm glad you liked it. Respectful regards to josa. (And, by the mercy of the Court, an alternative sentence in place of the verdict of having to listen to Marco Carta, deemed excessive and damaging to the dignity of the defendant)
Marianne Faithfull Broken English
Voto:
Yes, a good album. I bought it as soon as it was released and was surprised to find her so in shape; I almost thought she was lost (Marianne has had quite a turbulent life, it seems). However, I don't consider the album to be "one of many milestones," nor "underrated": a solid 3.5, which becomes a 4 for sentimental reasons. Later, she released another album that surprised me just as much, fitting into the "third phase" that Supersoul talks about, "Strange Weather." And, coincidentally, the excellent review of that album on DeB is indeed by Supersoul...
