Hey, your post hadn't appeared yet while I was writing mine. Hi, Supersoul.

The choice of the term "slim" in the post above is commendable. Just like the tone of the post itself (come on, Tom, are we really looking for comfort even in the DePaginette?) There’s nothing more to say about the film, but there’s still much more to discuss. As often happens with valuable things. - Damn, a while ago I felt like rewatching it (think that I saw it in the cinema back in '78 or thereabouts) and now I really have to rent it, since the links to download it have been deleted. My regards, Basettoni.

Yes, indeed a great piece of work, that I listened to quite a lot back then and that the page effectively evokes. And as the electronic encyclopedia UNTITLED says, the quality does not fade with time. To check directly, click with (unfounded) trust on my nickname.

I WROTE IT, not wrote it. I open the latest comments and find your post, where by admitting you wrote poorly you manage to make a spine-chilling mistake too. Come on, really…
Boris Vian Sputerò Sulle Vostre Tombe

Well, it does make some sense to know how long it took to write it. Because it is determined by the "reason" for which it was written (and this, in turn, determines the "how" it was written). Vian made a sort of bet with his publisher that he would be able to write in two weeks in a hard-boiled style reminiscent of Hammett and Chandler, which was very popular in Europe at the time (I believe this was published under a pseudonym, but I should check, I read it too long ago). Indeed, the tone of the writing "mimics" quite well the reference "school," with an additional concentration of the typical features that you describe well at the end of the page. Another thing that may seem irrelevant, but which to me seems grotesquely symbolic, ties this book to the premature death of Boris Vian. A film was made from the book, so bad and distant from the text that friends advised the writer, who was already suffering from heart problems, not to attend the private screening. Vian went anyway. And he died of a heart attack. - I cherish the book, which was the first one I read of his, after a collection of his now hard-to-find reviews on jazz (partly reprinted, but not in full) that I will never stop recommending (I believe it's titled Jazzhot) before continuing with the rest of his delightful work. Thanks to ilfreddo for bringing it to DeB.

I also enjoyed reading this. You have style, and sorry if it's not much.

Oh yes, write fast and effectively. Well done. (I haven't listened to this, Michelino live isn't great, I have to admit, but if you say it's top, maybe I'll look for it.)
