I didn't even know about the release of this; I had left it after the first solo album. I believe you when you say that the production by P.F. has benefited him, it must have shifted the center of gravity that was becoming static in the hybridized dub. He really has an unmistakable voice timbre and a very groovy grain. Let me tell you an anecdote (actually, this is bread for @[JOHNDOE]): we were having dinner with Zamboni, Ferretti, and Ginevra di Marco, in '96 or '97, and Mastro Lindo told me that he was a big admirer of Raiz. I think something by Almamegretta had come out with few of his vocal parts, and Ferretti was saying something like, "if I buy the Almamegretta record and Raiz sings little or nothing, I'll be pissed off; I'm buying it to hear him..."
