I remember listening to it back then. But not much more. Today it might interest me. I don't remember if the cover photo is of the young guy or of Bacon when he was young - Googled: it's him (but it could have been young Bacon, they look quite alike) - Do you think I can find a link? I'll give it a try.
Thanks.

Hello, Macaco. I hadn't read it. I'm listening to the album. Great, and I completely agree with the intro on your page, as well as everything else.
Michael Brook Cobalt Blue

Oh, look. It was among the many reviews I never wrote. I'm fond of this album, even though it's been quite a few years since I last listened to it. I believe many DeUsers would really enjoy it, too bad about the few plays on the page. Brook is, and was even back then, quite the cool guy in the recording studio, someone who knew what to do and had great "taste." You certainly know the album with Nusrat, which raised a few eyebrows among purists, but in the context in which it was conceived, it's actually excellent. - Great as always, giovanniA.
Leonard Cohen Old Ideas

Well, the introduction is really unnecessary. Anyway, given the urgent need to express your opinion about others, if to avoid "the Marxist ideology of music" (?!) you have to resort to rhetoric and the usual clichés while describing Cohen's album... You can also review Romina and Albano; it’s not the subject of the text that makes it valuable, the text should stand on its own. And then, weren't the others the ones "who go against a certain mainstream"? In short, a rather ugly page. - Album between 3.5 and 4, in my opinion.

One of my favorite albums from 2011, like for the gentleman Borguez, to whom I must thank for introducing it to me. Unfortunately, the link in my profile is among those that have been imprisoned, I fear. I should check. Recommended. Good job for pointing it out.

Hi, The Cold. I recently reread it, after a first reading of, I think, about thirty years ago. And I appreciated it very much. Its stunning irony shines with a grim light if you delve into the conditions of the USSR during those years. I'm reading a book by Martin Amis, (which I enjoyed very much in the past for his early novels and hadn't been into for a while) a kind of biography of Stalin. It's called "Koba the Dread". Chilling, even for those who have already read other things on the subject. But recommended. Bye.

I think I understand you, but I also understand your dad... At first quick listen, it doesn't seem that bad for someone who hasn't followed it in several years and is old enough not to expect great things. Of course, it must sound really pointless to you. But IL SICILIANO is right.
Matteo Garrone L'imbalsamatore

Ah, great movie. And beautiful review. I was really struck back then by the power and rigor of this Garrone. And his ability to immerse you in an otherwise improbable atmosphere, precisely because of his style.
