I have expressed myself in more than one post that was certainly less appropriate than others regarding the specific issue of minimalism, however, I felt capable of saying that even if it is not strictly about minimalism, we are in the realm of it. In my opinion, Nyman, by wanting to define himself as post-minimalist, has simultaneously aimed to both insert himself into and distance himself from minimalism itself. Anyway, this issue is already worn out; your comment is well taken. As usual, though, you digress, and regarding the matter with Frantz, I refer you to the long series of posts in the review of Ringostarfish on the CCCP, where in the end, you will find something about it. I know, I'm tossing you around a bit, but in the end, it’s better this way; if I leave you to your own devices, you’ll go off the deep end for the first pretty boy that crosses your path (see Dufresne); as for the rest, if Eno pissed on Duchamp, he did well :)

The assumption is wrong, Caz: there is at least one sun for every land, not as many suns as there are lands, the relationship is not one-to-one, as you hypothesize... then besides the suns, there are the moons, and those are thrown at you in abundance from every part of the globe.

Of Brad Mehldau, whom Hal also recommended to me, I know almost nothing, but from the review, Nick Drake doesn't really excite me, I've never been too fond of Paranoid by Radiohead, I kind of like Monk and Porter, Gershwin fascinates me, and Zzzzzzzz I really like :D
