Very nice, but allow me to completely disagree that Mononoke is Miyazaki's peak. I personally prefer Spirited Away and Laputa, and Nausicaä is right up there too. Anyway, Father Miyazaki deserves nothing but bows. Has anyone seen his son's film, by the way?

s4, many people support what you’re saying (and it reminds me that the same is said by the readers of the Nausicaa manga, commenting on the anime). For me, even though what you say is certainly true, I liked it a lot because the shortcomings of the plot and the points of stagnation were compensated by the surprise of seeing something like that, which was completely new to me, and I imagine for many others as well. Maybe if I watched it again today, after having seen quite a few, it wouldn’t have the same effect on me, who knows. For sure, sooner or later I’ll have to read those two blessed mangas (Akira and Nausicaa).
