I saw her former band a few months ago on a sold-out tour here and there. It's not the kind of music I usually listen to, but they were enjoyable to listen to. Great review, very heartfelt; I will look for her album.

One can either resonate or disagree with what he writes - and in general, I do not, as many of my favorite albums in Scaruffi's database have a rating of 4 or 5 - but I acknowledge Scaruffi's contribution as a pioneer in the field of the internet. Painful Italian title as usual, it would have been better to keep the original Broken Circle Breakdown; but in the end, it's the only thing that doesn't work. The film (which I watched in the original language; why doesn't Italy do the same, with subtitles?) has rightly been praised in Flanders, it's a kick to the family jewels and I only recommend it to those with a strong stomach; a cut above all is Veerle Baetens, who had already proven herself in other areas (she has performed in several musicals) and whose very physical acting I appreciated, where gesture, tattoos, and the body often communicate more directly than words. I'm not a big cinema expert, but if I were to compare this work to the much-acclaimed Sorrentino, well, months later, it's still this film that has left something with me.
