Beautiful review full of details, clearly explaining what it's all about even for those who haven't listened to the album.

The cover is a painting by Graham Coxon called "Apprentice". The album isn't bad, but even interesting songs are ruined by the tide of sounds inserted by William Orbit during the production phase.

I won't be able to listen to them, but the review is really well written.

I don't know him, except by hearsay; but your review conveys very well the idea of the kind of music one should expect. Well done.

I have this on vinyl: Venus de Milo splendid and Sometimes It Snows in April tear-jerker.
Scisma Armstrong

Great album from a band that disappeared too soon...but how could a band called Scisma keep going?

Pretentious commentators they may be, but at least they have the good taste to sign their names :D

I listened to this album for the first time a few days ago; it had been highly praised from various sources, and as a result, I was quite intrigued. The first impression is that people get genuinely excited over very little these days: the guitar sounds like a disciple of The Edge from the Boy/October era, the vocals didn’t impress me much, and the songs seemed too homogeneous among themselves. I will, however, try to listen again to get a clearer idea.
John Frusciante To Record Only Water For Ten Days

it's not visionary like Niandra, but it's still an album full of interesting ideas. three and a half, rounded up to 4.
