It's the first album of theirs that I'm listening to. I would say I prefer them when they are lighter (Antropophagus, Baudelaire, Panico!) rather than melodramatic (Aeroplano, Alfredo - as great of a song as it is - La Vita Va). The quality is good, the band (from what I read here and elsewhere) seems to be on the rise, but as a novice to their music, I feel that to really understand them, it would be better to follow the chronological order of their releases rather than starting with this album.

thank you all, even to those who just read. @ Dr. Adder: "assurdo" is used in spoken language (especially in Rome and its surroundings) as a superlative, regardless of the original meaning of the term (for example: "un freddo assurdo=very cold" and so on). thanks also to the dwarfs for fixing the formatting of the review.

Carlens was the folk-blues soul of the early dEUS lineup (just as Trouvè was the experimenter and Barman the songwriter). This 15-copy record (I agree) is the best representation of this approach.
