But indeed, Pix, I don’t present them as funny outings: every time he opens his mouth, I tremble! The point is how his team manages to turn even the nonsense he says off-script (meaning unagreed) into charming nonsense, little quips, or in Schulz’s case, a supposed attempt to defend Italian-ness. For the rest, I also agree with what you’re saying, but we are basically straying from the topic that I (and Franci) were pointing out. Travaglio is credible as long as he talks about Berlusconi. And the role of scourge that he has tailored for himself suits him well...
@Cool: Sorry, I took the "how no" in an ironic tone...

I don't believe it... maybe it will come to me at 50, you never know! :) Let me repeat: I didn't say he wants to shift votes... we were discussing how much of a problem Marco Travaglio could be for Berlusconi, and I linked it to the fact that (in my opinion...) I don't think he shifts votes, even among the undecided... I agree with the last two lines you wrote, I think the same... but the question remains: by now he has tailored the role of moralist to himself, and that's what brings him money and fame. Why doesn't he take a next step? I believe it's for convenience...

Useless observation Cool: the discussion was "how much does Travaglio annoy Berlusconi?", not "how many votes does Travaglio shift to the left?"... reread the entire conversation instead of cherry-picking random phrases...

But what does Silvio have to hide? Even my 70-year-old crazy neighbor sometimes wakes up in the morning singing curses against Silvio and his collusion with Tizio, Caio, and Sempronio... Is he afraid of him? If only he were, and I'm not joking! Do you really think that if it bothered him that much, he would leave him there on Rai2 doing his monologues? Just for the record, but I believe everyone knows this, B is equipped with a top-notch team of political communication experts: the ones who tell him when, how, and what to say, even if it’s a joke. I don’t know about others, but after the joke about Obama, I heard people say, "Yeah, but come on, it was a joke, what a drag with these rigid political ceremonies... after all, he's charming!" Tell me, doesn’t that team work well?! Travaglio doesn’t shift a single vote towards the center-left: those who hate Berlusconi will hate him even more, those who idolize him will rally to his side (siege syndrome), and the undecided, well, I suspect they’ll just be sitting on the fence... otherwise, who the hell would vote for him?!

I used the verb "riesce"... actually, I should have used "vuole," since the abilities would be there...

Pix, I say poor in content because it can do nothing but talk about Berlusconi (thank goodness, given what it manages to utter...)! As I mentioned above, it has found a vein it doesn’t want to break away from... the reason, I believe, is obvious to anyone: it is now the official scourge of B and the champion of all the antiB Italians. It's a very simple rule of political communication; if you think about it, there’s no need for excessive explanations, and you can see the results just by considering what Berlusconi achieves.
Franci, when referring to visibility, I believe he meant exactly what Barnard says: Travaglio and Grillo have gained a certain visibility (which is not just the television kind...) that they do not want to give up, hence their "immobilism" (because they don't go beyond the role of the scourges?)…

But in fact, the problem isn't the visibility... the problem lies in the poverty of its content. As you well know, Silvietto keeps a tight grip on Rai too. Travaglio is little more than a nuisance for him, and he tolerates him cheerfully: in politics, there's a simple little rule—don't turn anyone into a martyr, if you don't want people to get hit by the little red cross syndrome. Exactly what Marchino still hasn't understood... but let him keep focusing on B, at least it spares us from those four kindergarten concepts he has about foreign policy...

"...he is not the messiah..." For the rest, the review is so ridiculous that it borders on parody, which I am almost certain of...

The depth of work as a journalist is measured by the INCREDIBLE nonsense one is able to utter every time they talk about foreign policy... indeed, Barnard has made him look like the arrogant fool that he is! He is well-documented on Berlusconi, it's evident, just as it is evident that he has latched onto the journalistic vein from which he has no intention of detaching, at the cost of losing credibility and fame! For the rest, I agree with Franci… Barnard is not the Messi who only tells the truth, but he is an uncomfortable journalist and as such deserves praise, extremely prepared (nothing compared to Travaglio…), although at times excessive in his conspiracy theories (see the Lisbon Treaty, which certainly leaves more than a doubt…).
