@Core: It’s true, there’s a musical context…but in my humble opinion, you give top marks to albums that have no quality other than mimicking and following standards...the Crashdiet are frankly embarrassing...following your line of thought, I could even agree about Poison, even though I’ve always considered them the worst of the bunch...no offense, I couldn’t care less about critics and charts...I prefer the opinion of a simple enthusiast to that of a journalist who has to please hordes of fools to sell a few more copies of his newspaper...

Core, you write very well... but you are a bit one-dimensional... and to be honest, even giving a 5 to the wingers (which seems a bit excessive) seeing a 5 given to Crashdiet or Poison feels a bit like a joke... A little critical spirit, I believe, would greatly improve your reviews...

I swear, I’m listening to “Checkmate” right now, the one you call the best of the bunch (I can imagine the rest)... I’ll just tell you that I’m wasting 3 minutes and 34 seconds of my life... I’m not judging the album, but this song is not a 1, it’s a -10: horrific is putting it mildly (for vocals, lyrics, arrangement, production... if you want, I can go into specifics)... as Peter Griffin said: “an affront to my five senses”!!!
