God of jazz guitar? Hmm... I'll share my thoughts: to me, he's a phenomenon (not to mention an exceptional person). There are far more than two jazz guitarists better than him; in fact, saying that Metheny is a jazz guitarist is limiting him to the unbelievable... a musician like few others! Great review and precise references (Mick Goodrick...too little mentioned in Deb)!

For me, it remains a good work, with some truly excellent pieces. I absolutely disagree with the judgment on the self-titled album: for me, it remains a great album! Since I'm feeling diplomatic, I'll say that de gustibus, in a quarter of an hour I'll think you don't understand a thing! :D (just kidding... better to clarify)

I didn't understand a thing, I was just passing by to annoy someone and I thought of Panico! Now, what the hell are these guys doing?! I endorse what Purp says, and I add that despite everything, it’s really a good album with great songs ("you've seen the butcher" above all) but too mannered! But since I don't give a damn, I already have my concert ticket. And since cynicism will soon take over me, I’ll report them to immigration so the Calderoli and Borghezio of the situation will send the taco-eaters back to take a siesta in Mexico!
