"Brilliant because few have managed to handle such different materials as Punk, New Wave, Surf, rock'n roll, ska, pure psychedelia"... true, the Pixies have always been skilled at navigating between different genres, but I can't believe no one points out a certain mannerism in doing so... they were certainly not technically gifted, and (even though this isn't a serious flaw given the originality of their proposal and the group's compositional ability) it reflected in more than one transition!

So lux, S.C. is as flat as a ironing board, that's true, this is a bit of the water-cooler discovery... but there are a couple of questions left: 1) S.C. is not AWAKE and I&W and you can only give a judgment on the DT by judging the whole thing... they've been gradually exploding over the years... 2) As I already said, I'm not a fan of the DT, but I would never dream of giving a rating just to follow the (IDIOTIC) trend that emerges from certain discussions... also because then the inverse Trend (which is equally idiotic) can hit your beloved (and good... for heaven's sake) PIXIES with ridiculous statements that no one challenges simply because sacred cows must not be touched!!! I hope I’ve been clear...
p.s.: the review on SC is nice, you write well... nothing to say!

Alright, go ahead, another 1 because they are overrated... Let's give 1 to three-quarters of the bands that exist today since overvaluation is part of fanaticism... and there are plenty of small fans here!! Look, even the Pixies are overrated on Debaser: not because the Pixies aren't a great band, but if you read certain comments about them, you'd be rolling on the floor with laughter at how many nonsense statements are made by the little fans!!!! And with that, should we give them 1?! I'm increasingly astonished....

I’ve seen people give 1 to AWAKE and I&W...1...by the way, without any shred of motivation, just going along with the current opinion! This is not a masterpiece and maybe not even a good album...but it’s not a 1!!!!
