A review with guts, there's no denying it. A perfect balance between musical description and total nonsense. You never fall into either exaltation or boredom. A great gift, jig, which I personally envy you for. Look, I know them as pioneers of Scandinavian death metal, but I made the mistake of listening to "Reek Of Putrefaction"...oh my God!!!!!...now though, let’s dive into the cultural corner: I read that one track is titled "Arbeit Macht Fleisch," which is a distortion of "Arbeit Macht Frei," the German inscription that used to be on the gate of Auschwitz (meaning "work sets you free")...what does the distortion mean?

"the purulent infections of those beautiful things (I’m only referring to the feminine things, okay?!) that can be found between the legs of EACH OF US?"...damn jig, I deduce that you have a hot thing between your legs...

Hi norvehim, damn, it's been a while since we last talked. I'm happy to see your new review at the same high levels. By the way, are they the same ones from "Darkness Descends"?

I'm listening to it again...I have tears in my eyes. Thank you Quorton
Bathory Blood Fire Death
Voto:
Hail Brother! In our hearts you will live forever!
Anyway, Bathory... I have a vague sense of a hidden quote: "The battle rages, it's time to choose your side"... this is the translation of a line from Manowar, more precisely, the translation of the penultimate line of the little text that is printed on the back booklet of "Fighting The World" ("The Battle Rages - Choose your Side!"... by the way: to rage means to infuriate, not to roar... Mr. Aria, 2, all set, and bring me the diary... ;) ). It could also be the adapted translation of a part of "Blood Of The King" (also by Manowar, from the album "Kings Of Metal"... "Brothers, the battle is raging, choose your side!")...
Moving on to the review, damn, then the poet would be me! It's really well done, you completely understood Quorton's point of view. I know the spirit of the CD well; the energy it transmits is simply insane. An epic, ancestral fury. The last charge of the Ancient Gods. Not by chance the next CD will be titled "Twilight Of The Gods"... but still a 5, although a different five from the one I would give to "Under The Sign Of The Black Mark"..."Woman Of Dark Desires", "13 Candles of Doom"... unforgettable songs, at least as much as those contained in this CD.

Dying, we talked about them today in chat, and you piqued my interest in listening. However, if I were to buy an original CD (and clearly I don't want to waste money), which one would you recommend?

I really like the review. Maybe I'm a bit discouraged from the purchase due to the absent growl. Anyway, I'll try to look for them. The title of the CD is truly a poem.
Pink Floyd A Momentary Lapse Of Reason
Voto:
Well, Valerio, I don’t vote anyway, because it’s not really my genre (and sometimes I find the Pink Floyd songs that are sacred to you truly boring), so I wouldn’t know what criteria to base my decision on. Plus, I haven’t even listened to the CD... Anyway, if you’re in Rome, maybe we can find some other resident of the eternal city and have a mini de-meeting.
