LA RECENSIONE

The early 90s marks a turning point for the global Metal scene. The Thrash scene, partially disrupted by the advent of Death, begins to slowly fade. It is precisely at the peak of this latter movement, in a somewhat unfavorable moment, that Dark Angel releases this incredible and monolithic work.
Majestic, violent, devastating, recorded with a top-level line-up led by the legendary drummer Gene Hoglan, the true driving force of the album, "Time Does Not Heal" is an ideal fusion of Thrash and Death.
With continuous tempo changes, accompanied by an innumerable series of anthology-worthy riffs, a good dose of violence, and an epic performance by singer Rinehart, Dark Angel brings to life incredible tracks like the initial pairing with the title track and PAIN INVENTION: MADNESS, one of the greatest Thrash songs ever composed, endowed with a long and beautiful text written by Hoglan, who in these lyrics pours out a morbid inner world, extremely dark and sad, centered on the relationship between sexuality and suffering as exemplified by the beautiful and dramatic PSYCHOSEXUALITY or by AN ANCIENT INHERITED SHAME, another gem of the album.
A final mention for A SUBTLE INDUCTION, a violent and magnificent metallic ride that concludes an unlucky album, whose only fault is having been released in a period unfavorable to success, but which is still rightly considered one of the highest peaks reached by Thrash and Metal in general today.

9 songs, 67 minutes, 248 riffs... the definitive masterpiece of thrash metal, forgetting that unfortunately thrash does not live on riffs alone.

Ron Rinehart’s vocal lines permeate every song—a whining whimper more suited to a hairdresser in a love crisis than to his brawny, tattooed self.
