Review full of absurdities, from Mayhem death to the Inchiuvatu who would be folk instead of black metal. Get better informed next time.

Well, yes Tepes, the sound with Attera Totus Sanctus has undergone a very particular evolution... I highly recommend giving it a listen, especially songs like "King Antichrist" and "666 Voices Inside." As for the review, I don’t agree that The Secrets Of The Black Arts is a raw album... perhaps because my ear is quite used to decidedly worse productions... I still think it can't be said that a song like "The Dawn No More Rises" is dirty; otherwise, the album has been framed quite well. I must mention, however, that I've never fully liked them, although their importance in the scene is undisputed... I've always found them a bit too forced, both in terms of image and content.

Sorry Black Metal, you listened to it from a friend and you give it 5??? Well... the review, if we can call it that, seems nothing more than a list of the song titles. You could have spent a few seconds describing the tracks. Oh, just to be clear, they have absolutely NOTHING to do with Darkthrone.

You summarized an incredibly important group for the European black metal scene in just four lines, completely missing the meaning of their music. You don’t mention masterpieces like Echoes From A Morbid Night or Heretic Iron Will, just to name a couple, and you don't seem to be very well-informed about the band's history either. Next time, ask yourself if it’s really worth writing a review if you don’t have the right knowledge. If this is your first appearance on this site, it might be acceptable, but try to put in a bit more effort next time.

Tepes, Tepes, Tepes... one of the best pens on the site. A fantastic review. Once and for all, I take this opportunity to congratulate you. Your passion and your knowledge of this vast and important genre are evident. The perseverance with which you continue to bring groups like this to light (although they are almost always unknown to me) is admirable. You manage to be analytical and precise without ever being heavy. This review is the sum of your qualities as a reviewer, and the results are clear to see. Keep it up. P.S. The voice is practically indistinguishable from that of the singer of Meshuggah, a cross between a clean growl and the unclean shout of a Palermo supporter... WONDERFUL. IT ALONE WOULD WARRANT A 5.
Korpiklaani Tales Along This Road

I’m not passionate about them, but I recognize that they are fun. What I have, that is ā€œSpirit Of The Forest,ā€ is more introspective, but the features remain the same. Sparkling energy... very nice image of the Korpiklaani tour bus.

They never convinced me. Keyboards too contaminated and a voice that feels a bit fake to me. And then they do live shows without face painting! Unacceptable! ;-P. The review is good, implying a solid preparation... I had no idea they were connected to Setherial, a band enormously superior to them, in my opinion.

I miss it, but I have Wrath And Revenge, which is much more characteristically black compared to this, at least based on what I gather from the review. I found the reference to Nargaroth very interesting. I recently attended their concert here in Rome with Sturmkaiser and Vidharr (note: I am now part of the latter, hopefully permanently ;-)). Kanwulf is really involved in a sea of projects, not least of which are Taake, for whom he plays guitar during live shows. During the concert, he also distributed various tapes for free from bands he has collaborated with or supervised.
Returning to the review, I find it well written and satisfying, but perhaps a bit too rigidly descriptive, although there are emotional references that are always welcome. Still, there’s something that doesn't quite convince me... nevertheless, it’s an excellent review.

Better them than all the crap that's out there. The review is very nice. It was a pleasure to read it.
