LA RECENSIONE

Sargeist is a group formed by members of Behexen (Torog and Horns) and the guitarist of the magnificent Horna, Shatraug.

This Finnish black metal band debuted in 2001 with the album "Satanic Black Devotion," which made an impression on music critics. Indeed, it was a sick and dark black metal just as tradition dictates. Then, in 2002, the split with the French band Merrimack was released. But now let's talk about "DOTHP."

This is an album that follows in the footsteps of its predecessor (excluding the split), and our dear Finns offer us a sound very devoted to True Norwegian Black Metal of the early '90s, always with a touch of melody so devoted to Finnish bands. Another characteristic that distinguishes the album is precisely the combination of melody with doses of melancholy, all accompanied by the putrid sound and the cold, desolate atmospheres.

A beautiful album, cold like the land from which Sargeist come.
