Satyricon Rebel Extravaganza
Voto:
If the music can still be passable, and it's a term that should be taken with caution, the image turnaround is the great, glaring witness of the definitive ruin of Satyricon. I watched the video of K.I.N.G....and I didn’t find many differences from those of Manson. Shameful...as for the review, I found it sparse and a bit grammatically incorrect. "That the Satyricon ARE," an unfortunate opening of the review, instead of "that the Satyricon ARE," prejudiced your sufficiency.

I hit send by mistake... why do you ask me that? Are you one of us too? ;-)... I can definitely get you the demo, but to avoid misunderstandings, I want to make it clear that it was recorded when I wasn't part of the band yet, so my contribution is absent. There will be new releases soon anyway. Let me know.

Tepes, there isn't much that’s depressing in Taake, but they definitely deserve a listen, if only for culture's sake. They are essential... some melodic openings might be to your liking. In the meantime, for your insatiable thirst for depressive sounds, I recommend Wolok, the French band, with "Universal Void."

I was listening to something by the band again, after several years... I find them unbearable, in that fake atmosphere made of vampires and lace skirts. Terrible.

A good depressive group. Lately, many good bands from this genre are emerging. I recommend listening to "Universal Void" by Wolok. Returning to the reviewed band, what do you think of "Longing For The End," the first demo? I haven't listened to it yet, even though it's on my list.

Good review, it perfectly paints the reality of the facts. As much as they might be an annoying, theatrical, stupid, and commercial band, they contributed to the scene before definitively stepping away with some great albums like this one. The rating certainly needs to be re-evaluated in light of their SHAMEFUL evolution from this album onwards...

MMmhhh...I don’t agree with you on the "mild" cold...absolutely not. And I can’t even understand what you see in Carpathian Forest. For the rest, I’d say you’ve got the album right, even though the style doesn’t satisfy me. Barely sufficient.
