Introducing the first full-length by Anti is like describing something from which it's hard to escape, a spiral that, after capturing you, spits you out battered and marked. I'm talking about depression and everything it entails. It is indeed the main theme of every song written by the German artist Anti, who collaborates with Krieg as the vocalist.

In fact, it's a project carried forward by the mind of Anti, who is the sole composer and performer of every track. We are talking about tracks that leave no room for reflection for those who listen, but at the same time contain the reflection itself on evil and despair, perfectly recreated by the author, who with simple but hypnotic riffs digs deep into the soul, finding only suffering and "malus vivendi" such that the solution to everything seems obvious: suicide.
The drums, on the other hand, fire bursts with the pedal while respecting the pace of depressive black metal. We thus find ourselves in front of 6 tracks that seem to decrease in speed but increase in their expressiveness and emotionality, involving the listener more and more also thanks to Krieg and his scratchy and abrasive voice, a "harsch voice" more akin to a lament of fear and resignation.

Perhaps a still unripe album: in some parts, maybe a bit too repetitive, but it would lose its effectiveness in my opinion without its tones repeated to infinity (without ever boring or losing the guiding thread) exhausting its dramatic expression and leaving out that fundamental sense of isolation and oppressive spiral that is depression.
An album probably only for those who can understand the genre or who have experienced such situations inside and thus can grasp its true meaning, understanding what Anti truly wants to explain with his music. If I have talked more about theory than practice (technique and compositions), it is precisely to encourage those who will read this review to grasp its core concept and appreciate the final result of the CD.
