For the staff: I made an unforgivable mistake: I forgot to mention that "Hollis Brown's Ballad" is a Dylan cover, and the most shameful thing is that I wrote they are Canadian. The reason is simply that they had a great success in Canada, and I got confused. If possible, I would like to change "rocker canadesi" to "rocker scozzesi." Thank you.

Donjunio, I understand your point of view even if I don’t share it; now I grasp your motivation :)
MusicMan, you are right to say that in the end the review isn’t that well done, but I wrote it hastily, so maybe it’s not as polished as I would have liked. Plus, I tried to review an album for which I don't have a biased opinion, unlike other bands and artists that I would have praised too much. Here, I aimed to be as subjective as possible. And for me, that 4 feels like a 9/10. I would have preferred one less round and round and one more Down by the river to make my point clearer.

Thank you all for your comments, and you might be right in telling me that the album deserves a solid 5, but mine is a subjective opinion and let's say I don't feel like giving more than a 4.5 to this album, but only when compared to works like those I've mentioned, which in my opinion are perfect. Until the next review.

Surfercangaroo I could have written it differently but I didn't want to let my emotions take over. Remember that I sent it to a professor who doesn't know much about this music, and despite everything, he understood what the album was about. Of course, if it were up to me, I would have written that there are solo parts by Duane Allman that send chills down my spine and that "Whipping Post" is an amazing track, etc., etc... Usually, I write like that, but here I wanted to be clear, concise, and describe as coldly as possible what the album contains; it's one of those classic records I would take with me to a desert island or send to aliens as a testimony of human greatness in art :) Anyway, all the criticism is well accepted, especially the negative ones that can help me improve my style. And considering yours, maybe it's better for me to let my emotions take over more :P

Yes, supersoul, you are right; however, I must say that writing it like this pleased the professor a lot. Not knowing the album, he said he was still intrigued to listen to it. I tried to be as objective as possible. If I were to do it my way, it would be a continuous praise for every member of the band, and I would really go on for too long. But let's say that personally, I found it good to entice a listener who only enjoys classical music to listen to this album.

Sorry if I'm duplicating, but this album is one of my favorites and this review brought me good luck in my music history exam where I scored 30 :)

Nice choice, but come on, you can't just sum up the songs with a vague adjective, especially: "The screams??????" It should be "the screams!!!!!!!!!"

Perfect. Finally, the album where everything is perfectly in place.
In my opinion, the best of Gentle Giant.

For Aniel: You might have been told pop rock because in Italy, progressive was more commonly known as pop, but trust me, Osanna can definitely play some excellent hard rock, as evidenced by both "L'uomo" and the album in question here. Anyway, I was expecting a review of this album from Music Man given their tastes!
