Do you understand now what I mean by "half step"? The Ratm took the full step, they did it halfway. Without getting into the music, I'm talking about the message, not the musical notes, social commitment, not songs, which can be relatively beautiful or ugly, just like symbols, which can be interpreted in good or bad ways; if you speak clearly, there's little room for error. If I give you the middle finger, it might even be playful, but if I say "ugly piece of a cock made to be fucked by your grandfather on his deathbed" ... there's little room for error, that's what I mean, I'm not joking :))) Logically, that "fucked" is dedicated to Vrensis :))))))

ANOTHER example RATM. The Crow, a film that, due to the death of the ever so missed Brandon Lee, son of MAMMAMIABRUCELEE, will have a ton of sales, and what do they shoot at us? Darkness. As a title, it seems like Darkness relates to the crow, but the rest doesn’t have a damn thing to do with it; Darkness stands for the mental darkness of the idiots who sleep, just like Go BACK SLEEP. Only GO BACK SLEEP is three words, but Darkness is a nice clear and straightforward text, NO SYMBOLS TO INTERPRET. Clear & Decisive, even more than Sambuca. / RATM 5 - APC 0, until next time, sports friends.

You see, this is TRUE SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT, not some damn symbol to interpret. Sure, better a symbol than a kick in the ass, but while you're at it, do social engagement, not an acceptable surrogate, because you can do it both through means and through intelligence and culture, which are not lacking in Maynardo or Billy. ANOTHER EXAMPLE RATM (you can tell I like RATM... not true?) ... Soundtrack Godzilla, they make a song, Gdzilla is a film that will sell a lot, and they know it, and what do they hit us with? "No Shelter"... ONE OF THEIR MOST ENGAGED SONGS. It has nothing to do with Godzilla, but it will reach a lot of people.

Another example, from RATM again: Sony tells them, dear RATM, this damn third album is taking too long to produce, it’s been ages since we sold a copy of Evil Empire, hurry up. They respond: << Mavangulo vah >> Sony: well, then I’ll release a live collage album and a few tracks you’ve done for the OSTs. They: oh, but you also include a spoken part by Zack, reciting a text by Peppuzzo (I can’t remember whose it is right now), which I’ll put in the next post, because it’s long, look at all these beautiful words.

And just like the speech I made for Battle Of Los Angeles by RATM, many hardcore fans dismissed the album because it contained some commercial crap like "Sleep Now In The Fire." I say that the commercial crap was actually quite useful, because the idiot who bought it for "Sleep Now In The Fire" then also listens to "Voice Of The Voiceless" - "New Millenium Homes" - "Ashes In The Fall" - "War Within A Breath" ... strangely one after the other at the end of the album. They had gained significant power and they used it; they could sell a lot, and they did, while also communicating what they wanted, even if to do this they needed a ridiculously lame Trojan horse like Sleep Now In The Fire, which let's be honest... SUCKS :), A LOT... come on, Rage with that Rock N Roll riff... please! :))) But it had its purpose, related TO the other songs ;)

Why Use Names and Surnames? ... simply because I like it that way. I say what I like, not what is right :) / What I'm saying is that these are people with their eyes wide open, who help others to open theirs as well, since they have a broad sales field. You are right, but keep in mind that you are among the "few" people (in percentage to sales, it's not like there are only four of us who understood it) who have grasped the TRUE meaning of the artwork and the covers. Relating it to people who understand makes sense, but relating it to my friends who didn’t understand a damn thing, no. And there are many people I know who didn't get it at all. If it were a Tool album, which many people buy but only those already familiar with certain things and who are "experienced with the themes addressed," fine. They covered Imagine, I believe the album will reach beyond the usual target of APC, and it will get to a lot more people. I say they did something good, but halfway. As I've said 96 times, they didn't do an intergalactic dumbass thing, it's just that they could have done more, much more. You know Robert De Niro in "Bronx"? ... <<< There's nothing worse than wasted talent >>> :))) / Anyway, your interpretation is the best I've read so far.
