They will respond "because it evokes emotions in me that others do..." or "because music is subjective..." But every time they want to make comparisons, they say "compared to what's out there, they're a thousand times better" or "listen to Shakira and leave us alone with U2." Let's compare them to some rock bands; where do U2 end up? I can understand the deification of Pearl Jam, who made 3 good albums and then declined quite a bit, and even the exaggeration around Nirvana... but U2, really, doesn’t stand anywhere. In fact, everyone has "listened to them," but no one (apart from the middle/high school group making a comeback in this round and that one of Antonio) actually "listens to them." Why is it that for serious bands like Led Zeppelin, we say "I listen to Led Zeppelin," while for U2 we say "I listened to U2"? Is it because we are subconsciously embarrassed by such an unforgivable misdeed? ;) //Ps, did you hear about the disgusting news from last week? Do you know who will disgrace themselves remixing Vertigo? Personally, I’ve removed it from my list of CDs to buy, for that cursed scoundrel... & Gay, of course. (I'll also add Balengo because today I'm feeling generous)

And then Dublin is a shithole, the food is crap, people go out at 7 PM and come back at 3 AM, the girls eat a thousand chocolates and potatoes and they all have big asses. Total disgust.

Then they're Noxious. A fucking Britni Spears makes pop, okay, good for her, there's not much to ruin about pop anyway, but these guys ruin rock, they tarnish it with those fucking middle school riffs, with those bass lines that make chickens laugh, and with those four idiot faces that used to get slapped during recess. I just really don’t understand what you saw in them, they’re just awful… like, seriously. Couldn't you have listened to the Melvins in the '80s? Or the Fuzztones... even Guns N' Roses are better than this poorly assembled group of nice guys from the mainstream. Sure, "One" is a nice song, but they made a nice song, it doesn’t seem like enough to form a band; they're a One Hit Band.

But then, damn it, can't you see their faces? They are the complete opposite of rock n roll, just like he rightly says in the review. These guys, in elementary school, had their snacks stolen, in middle school they spat in their girlfriends' faces, and instead of defending themselves, they vented with their little guitars in the garage. It's a Long Way To The Top If You Wanna Rock N Roll... these guys haven't even started the long way, they're still stuck in the garage playing their little guitars. Crap.

In my opinion, many of you are attached to the album because you were 17, and all the emotional bullshit that goes with it. I never had any emotional bullshit with these 4 idiots; I heard them when I already had plenty of albums, that is to say, 6 months ago, and honestly, I didn't care about U2 at all. After reading on these pages that "they were great," I convinced myself to give them a listen. Well... THEY SUCK. Like seriously, they suck. Honestly, if there was little rock around in the 80s, and if they were considered decent at the time, I couldn't care less. In 2005, I listened to one of their CDs, and it sucks, that’s the final point, because it sucks. And don’t come telling me “but back in the day” because back in the day a couple of idiots, Strange Brew by CREAM is an amazing album, and it’s 25 years older than this colossal piece of crap. They’re just a damn band for the masses. I understand you have a certain image of them from when you were younger, but come on... seriously. When I was 11/12, I was crazy about Run DMC, but now I realize they were awful, try listening to this crap objectively, and you’ll recognize it sucks. Come on, man... U2, my SISTER listened to them, I mean, MY SISTER... who doesn't even know where to buy music, she’d ask for a CD at the grocery store, but for her, they were good because the entire high school class said so... come on... U2, PLEASE.

Here there is only the soul of rock, its essence, which is not about smashing guitars, not about sex, not about drugs. Indeed, this record evokes: AND WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS. (I took the phrase from Airone's comment; if it’s not in the rec, who cares, it’s just the umpteenth time I haven’t understood a damn thing.)

Precisely, I think Power & Epic is awful. I also think God is awful, I find Sabbath from Heaven & Hell onwards awful, I find Helloween awful, I find Stratovarius awful, and I find Manowar awful. So, since it's all their fault, they disgust me way more than anyone else. :D But the review is nice, I say to the album. Then, I'm the only one who read the review, and you get mad too? :D
