Well... you talk about Tool as if he were in charge, when in fact he’s the last one to be consulted. I can't say about APC, but he's definitely not the leader.
I don’t have much to say about Puscifer, and I haven't listened to this album, but the project is all based on the lyrics, often set to terrible music to emphasize them even more.
It's very likely that you find them shit or that understanding them requires twenty-page explanations, only to end up feeling the same way. They annoy me too, explanations or not.
But what sense does a review of Puscifer's music make when they don’t want to be reviewed, comparing it to Tool and APC where entirely different people play and Maynard doesn’t decide/write/play anything?
It's a bit like reviewing a Ferrari and saying it has a tiny trunk that can't fit a stroller, so it's a piece of crap car.

The Perigeo were definitely within reach, the fact that they are less known is solely due to those two or three pop songs sung by Stratos. The only difference that makes me prefer Area is their use of electricity; if Perigeo had used fewer acoustic instruments, I would be undecided.
Listen to them again, maybe skip the first one, but the second and third have tracks with world championship rhythms.

Assioma Cathedral: good music behind a shitty cover.
This sucks almost as much as Static Majik, the pinnacle of garbage.
As confirmation of the axiom, the exception: the only album with a beautiful cover - Endytime - is the least beautiful of all.

Sorry, too bad for the live shows that are recorded with eggplants in the woofers. I preferred the EP that came out a bit earlier, Dancing something or Ballad something. A few months ago or maybe a year ago, I came across a split album of theirs, the White Hills, the Flying something, and the very Italian Black Rainbows. Even there, Naam rocks, tied with BR if I remember correctly.
