Pupi Avati La Casa Dalle Finestre Che Ridono

"You don't torture a pap" I recently watched it again and somehow it won me back after a not-so-great first viewing, even though, in my opinion, Fulci's masterpiece remains "Sette note in nero," truly a gem. But… speaking of B-movie horror cinema, am I wrong or has no one yet paid tribute to the greatest of all time, the immense Mario Bava???

This film saves the originality of its horror-Padan setting and the growing suspense towards an ending that, for once, is not over-the-top. The film has certain naivetés, sure, but it demonstrates a certain autonomy from the standard plots of Italian thrillers from the mid-'70s (all following in the footsteps of Dario). In my opinion, this film does not fully fit into the so-called B-movie genre but can rather be seen as a "horror anticipation" of themes that the director will later develop differently.

Agreed on Microchip, while Amorematico feels a bit too cold and the first one still seems immature to me.
I would like to point out the 2002 live "Controllo del livello di rombo", which offers fiery versions of many tracks from previous albums.

I don't know, but I always distrust certain reunions that have a bit of a necrophilic flavor to them. I prefer to remember certain people as they were and listen to the old stuff again. But didn't Love reunite around 1992? I seem to recall that a new album of theirs came out back then...

I was interested in finding "La finestra dentro" from '71 or thereabouts... Do you have that one, Enea?

Anyway, Blood on the Moon is also very beautiful... a bit more "fluid," less fragmented, at times almost danceable, but with a stunning job of super distorted and acidic electric guitars like never before. I happened to listen to something by Helios Creed solo as well; it seemed to me like an album from the late '80s. Almost metal stuff, nothing to do with the pre-post-industrial mayhem of these unreachable masterpieces.

philosopho, the edition you've obtained is the one reissued by Virgin with the live from 1981 and some (very valuable) singles (Soo Bawls, Penetration in the centrefold, Social fools)? great, but the live to have at all costs is another one: "Live: The Mongoloid Years."

And who said that radical experiences must evoke the same feelings in everyone? I'm sorry for your misadventures with the sedatives...
