I would just like to point out that it was not Paul Weller singing in Homebreakers, but surprisingly for everyone, the legendary Mick Talbot, a talented keyboardist whose ego is overshadowed by the dominant one of the great Paul. See here

these have really come out of the magician's hat! I don't know them, but they intrigue me a lot. I listened to something on their site and it seems they deliver on their promises. The name Died Pretty has removed the "removed"... admirable are the words of Brodskij...

Socrates, I don’t know why. I only know that no UFOs, no poltergeists. Everything seems normal, except that they (the speakers) are now pretending that nothing is happening, just like when "she" decided not to pay any attention to you at all for no reason. Maybe because you uttered a word you shouldn’t have, or because you seemed happy (despite everything)... it’s as if (they, the speakers) have decided they no longer feel like playing music... I’d almost say they seem tired of fulfilling their duty, maybe (within their silvery boxiness) they too are pondering the unfathomable mystery of the self... who knows, maybe the excessive use of "irregular" CDs has plunged them into some virulent form of audio-autism... I hope to remedy this as soon as possible...

For a while now, all the stereos in my house have broken down... only the CD player in the kitchen still works, so I've gotten used to listening to music from a certain distance... and thus, when I'm working on something, sitting at my desk in the living room (which is all of home), I often find myself listening to this CD by the Destroyer, and it seems that I can't do without this echo-distance between me and the music of this CD. I really like that voice (a bit distant), those guitars (echoing in the void of the kitchen), that certain choral quality that each song seems to have... still, from Socrates' review (the great) and the comments, it seems that the CD is good even when listened to "up close"... I invite you, in an experimental form, to try a remote listening experience... greetings to everyone.

I bought the audiocassette of this album several years ago in a little shop in Scotland. One of those purchases that you agree to make even in the dark (thanks to the temptation of a hefty discount). It was a surprise, and I liked it a lot. My travel companions at the time did not share the same opinion, and I had to put the cassette aside. At home, every now and then, I find myself wondering what on earth could have happened to that cassette (along with those travel buddies from back then). I thank Socrates for helping me at least rediscover the World Party (the cassette still not yet)... here’s a link to a video of a kurt significantly "burdened" by life (like all of us no longer teenagers) a shout out also to the legendary Odradek.

we are almost in the realm of stream of consciousness. a thoughtful and complete odradek. at this point, a record to be grabbed (almost) on the fly.

tireless odradek, the "almost" I added just for the innate tendency to avoid applause in the spotlight... you know I hold you in high regard (from misha onwards) to an excessive degree... even on this wild Saturday (at least thanks to marini franco, marini francesco, marini f. finally settling into the coziest seat of that room so coveted by the very young giulio)

It would be nice at this point to understand if we could also get some samples (odradek way of debaser life)...

I like this album, and for me, four is full. Odradek, despite its age (a theme explored elsewhere), seems to have stepped on the accelerator! Almost all strikes well-placed...
