Dream Theater Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory

Well, I thought you were referring to this aspect.. in any case, in pieces like "Fatal Tragedy," "One Last Time," or "The Spirit Carries On" (to name just a few from this album), Rudess doesn't seem cold or expressionless to me at all... but in the end, my opinions are just as debatable as yours, so I appreciate your response and accept your viewpoint... bye

no, marmist, he doesn’t seem stupid, he simply is... but has the mania for Queen come back? in a few weeks three reviews!!! but I believe this is the best one... well done torre, congratulations, simple and effective... regarding Elvis, it’s true that Queen had a feeling of sympathy and admiration: for example, at the concert at Wembley Stadium, the four launched into a rendition of Tutti frutti, one of the most famous tracks of the king of rock. ah, as for the record, well, I think it speaks for itself...

Ah, and anyway, only for Emerson and Petrucciani do I feel like talking about superiority, as I am convinced that, technically speaking, Jon Lord, Keith Jarrett, Joe Sullivan, and Ricky (I'm not sure about the name...) Wakeman, despite being great pianists and/or keyboardists, do not measure up to Jordan... I eagerly await your response.

I've been wanting to ask you a question for a while, but I keep forgetting... In your review, it says "Kevin Moore and John Myung are no less anonymous"... well, as many have pointed out, it's not Moore playing keyboards on this album, but Jordan Rudess. However, what concerns me is quite another matter: you got the name of the keyboard player wrong (which doesn't really matter in the end), but with "Kevin Moore" you meant the keyboard player for this album, right? How can you say he is no less anonymous (I mean, it makes me want to ask you how you could say that about all five members of the band, but for Rudess, the issue is more delicate in my opinion)? At this point, I would like you to list a series of more noteworthy pianists/keyboardists, because in my opinion, Rudess is one of the best of all time (from a technical standpoint - and I believe that's what you were referring to)... the only names that come to mind are Wakeman, Lord, Emerson, Jarrett, Petrucciani, and Sullivan... oh, and there’s also Liszt...

When I bought this album, it took me ages to listen to it all... I must have played Telegraph Road five or six times in a row, and frankly, even now, considering this album, I put the other four tracks a bit in the background... Let's be clear, though, that both Private Investigations and the title track are very nice... Industrial Disease and It Never Rains aren't much to write home about... overall, an exceptional record.
Queen Hot Space

y2j, I think you might be exaggerating... it's obvious that the '70s are the best, I think we can all agree on that... but the Queen didn't die with A Day at the Races as many say, nor with A Night at the Opera... many subsequent albums are not bad at all, even if they don't come close to that golden period... Jazz, in my opinion, is a good album, there's some nice songs in News of the World, The Game has a couple of nice tracks, Flash Gordon (which, in any case, as someone already pointed out above, is a soundtrack) I don't like, HOT SPACE LITERALLY SUCKS, The Works is overall not bad, A Kind contains some valuable pieces, as do the subsequent The Miracle and Innuendo... but to say that A Night is the last album "of some substance" is really a load of crap, in my opinion it is, along with Queen II, the best of Queen's production... opinions.

Laura, I'm sorry, but you are really, REALLY in a bad place if you want to be like her... no, seriously, I'm truly saddened by what I read... you and that other excited one, Meggie...
Avril Lavigne Let Go
Voto:
No, it doesn’t have anything to do with it... Do you think that Queen (just to pick a random band...) didn’t find success? Avril is merely a kind of "idol" built for hordes of enthusiastic teenagers, who defend her to the hilt even if she produces CRAP: this makes her a commercial gimmick.
