I'm sorry, but I believe I’m from another planet. Approaching this record, or Low for example, would instill in me a sense of reverence and I would feel apprehensive, I mean the terror of saying the wrong words, or incomplete ones, or awkward ones. I don't know, I feel a sense of discomfort; maybe it's because I'm a remnant of another era, but this review (like many others released in recent months) suffers from the download syndrome. Yes, that’s what makes me feel inadequate, but it’s the technological reality of today, and I can’t do anything about it. However, I can say that many of you write reviews like you download a record. In a rush, with little concentration, and little artistry. Oh, I’m not referring to anyone in particular, and certainly not to you Perez (I’ve read many of your comments, you’re nice!), but the reviews I’m referring to (like this one) are... excellent, well-written, and informative. It’s just that often it’s clear that the records being reviewed haven’t gotten under the skin, or at least, it’s not conveyed. Sorry everyone for the venting, after all I wanted to say that 'art is born from desire.' Today people no longer desire, because everything is at hand. So: why waste words?

I've been looking for this album for a while. But it's impossible for me to find it here... can someone help me, please? Good job, Mezca, and thank you, finally it’s clear what kind of music it is, the other reviews I've read are more focused on the persona.

I enjoy being on Debaser because we all – each in our own way – adore music. Then each of us has other motivations. One of mine is to savor the written word, to see special phrases, particular words, inspiring adjectives, ‘literary’ solutions full of fantasy and poetry, regardless of the album being reviewed. In this sense, I also appreciate extreme, radical, rigorous, descriptive, and bold reviews, as long as they are written with care. I really like Janis’s review for its meticulous writing (you can ‘feel’ that every word is ‘thought out’) and the images it conjures. These are words masterfully embedded.
