There needed to be a review of Krisma! Back in the day, I followed them closely (when they were still called Chrisma), especially since I know them (or rather, I know their feet; they are from Varese and back then - wow, it's been over twenty years! - they used to come to buy shoes in the store where I was the only sales assistant) :D Today they are still active, albeit in a very low-key way... Faust'O, Garbo, and Krisma were three great realities of the '80s Italian music scene, but today they are mostly unknown to the masses, yet crucial for certain sounds and attitudes (just look at Morgan and Bluvertigo). Maurizio today is also involved in cover art; for example, he did the cover for Morgan's 'L'appartamento' (i.e., the photo of the apartment buildings). Hi Ege, I greatly admire and respect your consistency and passion; they are exemplary. Chapeau!

Yes, but Kraftwerk are not just German; they are universal. However, it’s true that it’s impossible not to mention them as the greatest group of the mitteltranseuropaexpress (I can’t place them solely in a German context, sorry...). As for EN, I have a particular weakness for Blixa; the way he sings in German is unmatched, he’s amazing, I love how he shapes his mother tongue. Amon Düül, yes, and the whole kraut scene from Neu/Schulze onward is indispensable. @Odra :D I wrote "-too- much smell of sweat, leather, and whips," meaning it's a bit "too" here, no space for the blonde girls with braids like me ;)

The greatest - today in Germany - are the Eistürzende Neubauten. For the past, I quote Amon Düül (explored thanks to master Caz). In German music, I certainly love the "gründlich," technical, and precise side, but also a certain elegance, a way of presenting oneself that is not obvious for Germans, but when it happens, it's truly classy. In EBM, I don't like those who go heavy, like D.A.F.; I've never been able to stand them, too down-to-earth, too much smell of sweat, leather, and whips.
Scott Walker Tilt
Voto:
So I got it, it arrived on Monday. I’ll say right away that it threw me off, a matter of mindset—if you’re just a bit anxious, Walker's singing clashes; it’s like brushing against the grain. Nick Cave... not really related, though, right? In fact, since you mentioned him, I was expecting a deeper, perhaps husky voice, and a less classical singing style. A difficult album; I need to listen to it again at a more favorable moment. Now I'm waiting for Scott4; let’s see how that one is, I imagine it’ll be more melodic.
