It's a bit too long, Proust, and it's a bit too 'diary-like'. I would have focused more on the concert, but I have to say I enjoyed reading about your adventures. It reminded me of certain trips from a few years back. Including the letdowns :D Nice photo, it says it all... I wonder what the impact was! From how you describe the audience's reaction, I’m reminded of a concert by Einsturzende Neubauten about fifteen years ago, at the height of their mechanical-industrial phase. The reaction was similar; after 20 minutes of electric saw and jackhammer, the room emptied out, and there were just a few of us left to witness it, and I, small and fragile as I am, took a few days to recover from the (delightful) annoyance. I've always wondered if these bands feel fulfilled seeing the audience struggle to endure their sound. The Sunn))) must have been pleased (like: hey, did you see we blew their minds)? Or annoyed (the cowards they are)? Then, can you explain to me what kind of face O'Malley made? Why did he make that strange face? Did you come up with an answer?
