I would like to specify that Bjork has never excited me (not even at her peak), and that I don’t like this album as a whole, but the first track and Storm are beautiful, so I thank whoever gave it to me :)). Punisher, since you want to talk only about the album, I’d like to mention, just for the record (since you didn’t), that the "disarming and bewildering male voice" (what a lovely definition) is Will Oldham's (= Palace + Bonnie Prince Billy). Also, the "sighs, moans, whispers and screams, orgasms" in "Pearl" are by Tanya Tagaq (an expert in "throat singing," of course), and the sounds of "accordion and mellotron" are actually produced by the Sho, an ancient Japanese instrument, and Cubase. Lastly, to be more precise, the "spinet" is now called a harpsichord (the spinet was used in the 14th century; the harpsichord is the modern version). To conclude: this work (I insist: contemporary artwork that will only be seen at very few festivals and museums like MoMA and Tate) is a tribute to traditional Japanese culture, was created in Tokyo Bay on an old Japanese whaling ship, and is filled with Japanese rites and traditions ("the dressing of the kimono," the "tea ceremony," etc.)... what kind of music were we supposed to get? Rock'n'roll? And what does "similar to a movie plug for love" even mean? What’s wrong with doing something with your man in artistic communion (your De-gustibus aside)?

Maybe you, but not me for sure because I am passionate about modern art and I have already seen all of his Cremaster cycle (but I’m sure you don’t know what I’m talking about), and of course I won’t miss this film when I have the chance to see it, where, among other things, Björk is co-starring (by the way, another important thing I almost forgot).

I do not agree that the object in question should be criticized by separating it from the film's vision (in fact, without having seen the film). First and foremost, it is a soundtrack and should be taken as such. Period. There are also some nice passages, like the first track, for example. Moreover, it is a musical release that has not been publicized (unlike Medulla, which was launched with a big promotional campaign) and has certainly not been hyped by critics. The director/sculptor/artist (who, however, is categorized in contemporary art and not in cinematography) is named Matthew Barney (at least have the decency to mention him, Punisher come on!).

... as Jodorowsky says, we should reassess the "original Christian myth"...

that one I would define as a "mimosa." I would have replied to him, "I'll let you touch them if you let me feel the texture of your package." I'm sure he wouldn't have insisted, hehehehe :D

What a rape! :D Trampled, he made the comment "femme toccà le tette che voglio sentire la consistenza..." no, actually he said "fammi toccare le PROTESI ..." (horror!!!) She took it badly, exaggerating beyond measure, squawking the next day that he "disrespected" her in front of her children. In short, it was an attempt on her part to portray him as a maniac, resulting in (a whiny outburst from Ferrini live while speaking with a very conciliatory supersimona) turning him into a charming satyr.

Everyone like Ferrini, who wants to touch FAKE tits. Ah, there’s no more religion :D

Mirror of moral decay, Josi_? But if you in Italy have the tamest reality shows! You are the most modest with reality (and I understand them all, from The Big Brother to The Mole to The Island). No, sorry, but have you seen the German reality shows? Those from England? Don't be so down! Even in the Swiss Big Brother, there were sex scenes in every episode, and not under the covers, as happens - every time there's a relative of a pope - in the Italian one. No, no, no, Italian reality shows are not the best example of Western moral decay; indeed, they are "normal" to me. Really.

However, I would distinguish sharply between Catholic and Protestant. The Catholic one is much more lenient (after all, paradise, or the "supreme reward," can be attained if you repent), while the Protestant one is truly more rigid (you have to earn your way into paradise, and in the end, you don’t even know if you’ve succeeded in conquering it). Let me tell you, coming from a Catholic father and a Protestant mother, and living in a Catholic-Protestant country. My mother, Protestant, is experiencing a bitter old age, full of guilt and at the same time anger at certain constraints dictated by her religion, which she now realizes in hindsight. It’s also no coincidence that in Europe, the highest percentage of suicides occurs in Protestant countries (in Protestant Switzerland, for instance, the rate is higher than in Italy and Spain, and it’s even worse in the Scandinavian countries). The conditioning of Protestantism is more annihilating than that of Catholicism, sans doute. (forgive me for getting carried away, but the comparison between Protestants and Catholics is a topic that interests me immensely)
