for me, 'grunge' (a very broad definition that I always take with a grain of salt) started with Temple Of The Dog and died with this album. A requiem, the last swan song. Heartbreaking.

I wasn't convinced back then, perhaps due to that subtle affinity with the Dinosaur that I just can't digest (and I still haven't figured out why, but I haven't exactly made an effort to find out).

I would have some comments on what you say about PJ and the latest Isis, but since the review is good, I’ll let it go (after all, it’s just a matter of taste). The proposal is interesting, but I already have too much stuff to listen to on my plate...

Fest, this is worth a listen at least for the 'sound' which is truly smashing, crafted by Mark Freegard (previously with Lush, Pale Saints, Manic Street Preachers, Ride, and many others). Byez.

A fucking great movie. A monolith. One of those rare cases where images and music are perfectly balanced scales. A film about war without (almost) battles, except for the inner ones faced by the protagonists and by us. --- I'm sorry MariaE for the vote but I can't ignore that "nothing would make sense if there wasn't everything else."
