Well well, this is a great album, Hiatt's best, because it's the most mature, the most heartfelt, and rootsy to the core. I agree, it's masculine, yet at the same time sensitive. And let's not forget who's playing alongside him: Ry Cooder on slide, Nick Lowe on bass, and Jim Keltner on drums! I've never been a die-hard fan of Hiatt, but Bring The Family is definitely a solid album.
